Chapter 9
As soon as the sun came up, Finn headed home to get some sleep. Tae greeted him with a mixture of elation and ‘where have you been?’ After walking the dog, Finn crashed, waking up at noon. He showered, got dressed, and left, much to Tae’s obvious annoyance.
When he got to the library, it took him a few minutes to locate Luke. The young man was so deeply into what he was reading he jumped when Finn put one hand on his shoulder to let him know he was there.
“Ready to take a break?” Finn asked.
“Big time. I now know more than I ever wanted to about governments. And it’s probably still not nearly enough.” Luke picked up his backpack, leaving the book where it was.
“Give it time. Aren’t you taking this?”
“I don’t have a library card.”
“I do. We’ll put it on mine. Any other book
