Chapter 14
It was mid-morning when Finn finally awakened. Luke was seated beside him, dressed in sweatpants and a T-shirt, stroking his muzzle. That ended when Finn shifted to his human form.
“Thank God,” Luke said in relief. “I thought…You’ve been like this forever. I was afraid maybe something happened.”
Finn sat up slowly, his lips quirking up. “Something did happen, or didn’t Owen tell you?”
“I did,” Owen said from his seat on the sofa.
Owen still looked somewhat battered, in Finn’s opinion, causing him to ask, “Didn’t you shift to heal?”
“Only for an hour or so. I came out much better in my battle with Stanbury than you did with Jourdain. Of course Stanbury wasn’t expecting me to be there so I got the drop on him. He wasn’t much of a fighter, despite his age. He tried to bargain
