The Changelings

Am doing it again. I just can't help it. ever since my father reluctantly gave me access to the chambers I always sneak in when ever everyone is asleep. I love watching other species and most especially humans. I love watching humans a lot. Their way of life both fascinates and intrigues me. they have a simple lifestyle. I envy their freedom. I sat on my father's chair in the chambers and watch the screen in front of me. my father uses the chambers to monitor everyone. yeah you heard correctly. he monitors everyone. He monitors everyone because that's his job or so he claims. Am allowed in here because am his only child I have a legitimate claim to the throne that's why I know about the chambers. He taught me how the chambers works and how to use the wormhole in the chambers to visit earth. we can can monitor all of the supernatural beings and humans through the chambers. its what we do. it's part of our job. that's all we live for. We are CHANGELINGS. we are the custodians of law and order in the supernatural realm. we live in a parallel universe called NEXUS. Initially every supernatural creatures including werewolves, vampires, lycans,banshee, elves, Batclan, fairies, kitsune, and changelings lived together in Nexus because Nexus is the origin of the supernatural. but our population was much and soon enough it caused war between different species. During the war a weak spot was found in Nexus. it is a wormhole that leads to the human world called EARTH. It was soon discovered that earth have enough space to accommodate the supernatural beings. that is how werewolves and vampires and other supernatural creatures came to stay on earth. As changelings we are able to transform into any supernatural creatures. we used to be hated because we have the ability to shape shift. But our ability was valued after the war because we were needed to protect the main owners and residents of earth "HUMANS ". Humans are not as strong as sups. compared to us they are weaklings. In order for the supernatural beings not to prey on humans, we were called upon to use our ability and to create a balance and maintain order. The changelings were charged with the responsibility to make laws that govern the sups and also to force its implementation. that way humans can live in peace without fear for their dear lives. The job was hard but because we can transform easily into any creature it became easier for us and over the years we have become more stronger because of our commitment and continuous training. but because we are many and we are stronger my father took advantage of the situation. And now hes not just the king of changelings but also the king of all sups in Nexus. we literally rule in the supernatural realm. We were trained to never break the but if any supernatural creatures breaks the law or preys on humans, we are alerted and we transform into the shape of the creature involved. so its easier to track down the perpetrator and do justice. sometimes its hard to catch the perpetrator especially if he/she is of high status but sometimes its so so easy. That's who we are and that's the life we are subjected to. But that's not who I want to be. Deep down in my heart I know our lives should not be like this. I know we are not living like the others. Although we never interact with other creatures . We were trained and taught to value our duties because it's why we were born but now I have access to the chambers and I watch the other sups and humans on earth. I know we are missing something. I don't know how but I just know it. We spend years training to protect humans from sups but why can't we live like humans? Just live, eat and love. that's what I want. I want to love with all my heart. "LOVE" Why does that word remind me of him? I focused on the screen in front of me. I watched him stirring and turning in his sleep. Night in Nexus is morning in the human world. Its 6:am on earth and I know his alarm will go off any second now. I've watched him long enough to know his routine. you can even call me his stalker but I don't care. I can't help it. Am drawn to him. its like a magnetic pull. its even stronger than a magnetic pull,,,, its magical. I saw him the very first day I was brought to the chambers by my father. Just a glimpse of him caused my heart to beat faster. I had to distract myself by asking questions about the chambers and it's set up. I know my father would investigate it if he knew that hes the reason my heart beat went haywire. thankfully no one noticed because they believed my heart was beating faster because I was learning a great secret about our people. "they wish ". But ever since then I always sneaked in here to watch him. seeing him gives me feelings that words can not Express. I have to know more about him. maybe if I know him better I'll be able to get answers to all these questions that are bothering me. I watched as he stretches his arms to turn off his alarm seconds after it went off. He sit up on his bed and stretches his arms while yawning. " Damn ".. How can anyone look this good. Looking this handsome should be a crime. my father needs to add a sentence for this crime. Hes the real definition of perfection. maybe he's a Greek god that resides with humans. His jaw is so perfectly sculptured. his deep blue eyes still held the innocence of a child. I could get lost looking into those eyes. his perfect muscles and his six packs that tells you he spends time in the gym. his lips were so full and pink. I can imagine those lips doing sinful things to my body. Hmmmmm.. I threw my head back and closed my eyes letting my imagination run wild. God this is so stupid. I imagined those pink lips on mine as he kisses me ever so gently,, trailing sweet kisses down my neck and ...... Oh my God!!! I lost track of time. Its already past 3:am.. Now I have less than an hour to sleep before I go for training. I hurriedly sneaked back to my room to catch some sleep.
