Kael's Pov
I was reviewing maps in my study when a guard knocked on the door.
"Enter" I called out.
The guard came in and bowed.
"My king the prisoner Thorne is asking to speak with you" he said.
"Tell him no" I said and went back to the maps "I have nothing to say to him"
"He says it is urgent" the guard said "and that he has information about the rebellion's plans"
I looked up at that because information was something I needed.
"Fine" I said "I will go see what he wants but if this is a waste of my time there will be consequences"
I followed the guard to the tower where Thorne was being held and the stairs seemed longer than usual.
When I reached the cell the guards opened the door and I walked in.
Thorne sat on the bench looking thinner than the last time I saw him
