I woke up before dawn and decided that Elvanya needed to learn how to fight properly and not just rely on her moon powers.
"Wake up" I said and shook her shoulder gently.
"What time is it" she mumbled and pulled the blanket over her head.
"Early" I said "but we have work to do and you need to get up"
"Work" she said and peeked out from under the blanket "what kind of work"
"Fighting training" I said "you need to learn how to defend yourself with weapons"
"I have moon powers" she protested "why do I need weapons"
"Because your powers are unpredictable" I said "and if they fail during an attack you need another way to protect yourself"
