Varek's Pov
I sat in my tent staring at the map of the city spread across the table and my commanders stood around me waiting for orders.
"The palace is more heavily guarded now" Marcus said and he was one of my best scouts "they have doubled the guards at every entrance and they are checking everyone who goes in or out"
"That does not matter" I said "we are not going through the entrances"
"Then how do we attack" another commander named James asked.
"We wait" I said simply "we wait until the blood moon ritual begins and then we strike with everything we have"
"The blood moon is in two days" Marcus said "are we ready"
"We will be" I said "the ritual will leave the palace defenses weak because Kael will take his strongest warriors to protect the Moon Child at the sacred site"
