“I get it Detective, but I am not happy. Jacqui, please call me in the morning. I need to know that you are okay.”
“Detective Blair, please see Mr. Faure out.”
With Blair absent, Lowe turned back to them.
“We’ll wait until Detective Blair returns and confirms that Mr. Faure had left the premises before we continue this.”
Blair returned and Lowe waved him into a seat.
“Now miss Bruckner, let us continue. If we are to have any hope of solving this we need to keep you safe and somewhere where we can work with you in an attempt to find out what it was that caused your parents’ demise. This place, I am afraid, is hard to protect. It will take more men than I have available to protect the estate properly. Do you have anywhere else you could stay for a while?”
