Vanessa's POV
Spring Break
Monday 8:00 am
"Vanessa, I hope you're packed; Mike will pick you up in a few hours," Mom calls as I finish my shower.
"I packed last night," I reply, drying my hair.
"Archer's mom said he'd stop by before he leaves," she adds.
"Where's Paul?" I ask while heading down the stairs.
"He's at work; then we'll be away for three days," Mom answers.
"And breakfast is ready," she adds as she walks into the kitchen.
"I can't believe I'm going to stay at a beach house for a week!" I exclaim, and Mom laughs.
"Just make sure Mike doesn't push you into anything," she advises, and I nod.
"Don't worry, Archer and his sister will be there, and the girls are sharing rooms," I say, sipping my milk and eating my waffles.
"Too bad Kevin isn't coming with you," Mom smiles
