After Winter Break
Returning to school after winter break isn't pleasant, especially since it's the second semester of senior year, which means applications to various universities and exams.
Kevin's eighteenth birthday is next Saturday.
The good news is that in two months, spring break begins, and I’ll see Archer again, minus his difficult girlfriend. I think Archer would like Michelle because their personalities remind me of Mike's.
"Vanessa, someone is waiting for you outside," Mom calls from downstairs, prompting me to grab my bag.
I kiss her goodbye and head out the door.
"What are you doing here?" I ask as I approach his vehicle.
"Just get in; we’ll talk at school," he sighs.
"No, I have a ride already," I reply, noticing Dianne pulling up behind him.
