Friday
This week has been awful. Not only is Vanessa ignoring me, but she’s been hanging out with my rival.
“You’ve been spacing out again, babe,” Heidi says, rubbing my arm, making me shift uncomfortably.
I watch as Vanessa walks past us with a smirk; she’s been doing that all week.
“I’m wearing your jacket tonight, right?” Heidi asks.
“Yeah, I guess,” I reply, noticing Vanessa in a skirt for the first time since last week.
“Well, I’ve got to go to class. See you later,” she kisses me and leaves with Bianca.
“Buddy, why don’t you talk to Vanessa?” Ty suggests.
“She doesn’t want to talk to me. I don’t blame her for ignoring me,” I sigh.
“If you don’t, you’ll lose her, and you’ll only regret it when she’s gone,” he pats my shoulder and walks off.
