Promogue: The short History of the Worlds
I
n the beginning of the Earth, there reigned Zodian, an all-powerful being. He lived for eons on the Earth. He watched it grow, he watched as the animals he created grew and lived interesting lives. But there came a time when he grew bored of his personal playground and wanted others he could interact with, others he could watch and see if they would evolve as the animals had.
He created beings that were like him, but less powerful. The goddesses and gods were given the ability to have children, a gift from Zodian. He wanted them to be able to have children and families and be happy and content.
First, he created the seven Goddesses, beautiful women that all had power over certain forces.
Dragica, the Goddess of Dragons, the creatures he had come to favour the most.
Embressa, the Goddess of Love, the feeling he knew but had yet to personally experience.
Aphroda, the Goddess of Kindness, how he viewed himself.
Glaressa, the Goddess of Peace, what he wanted to continue having in his world.
Flera, the Goddess of Joy, the feeling he experienced in his creations.
Lastly Eriza, the final Goddess of Destruction and Beauty, for in his mind they went hand in hand.
For want of balance he created the Gods.
Frailen, the God of Elements, to keep changes in the weather.
Enveroo, the God of Animals, to name and protect the ones he had created.
Armado, the God of Order, to enforce the peace.
Twaili, the God of Justice, to keep the laws he created.
Brillando, the God of Light, to keep brightness in life.
And Reaperiam, the final God of Death to care for those that would leave the earth, in creating the God of Death, Hell was created for those he felt were unworthy of eternal life.
Centuries passed with the Gods and Goddesses living in harmony.
Humans were created by Zodian, humans that would serve the gods and help maintain the Earth. Sadly, though, a good thing never lasts long.
The Gods and Goddesses evolved and under the influence of Frailen, most of the other Gods decided that the Goddesses were unworthy of the power they had been given, their scorn turned into dislike, which eventually turned into hatred.
Most of the Gods and Goddesses had chosen humans for their mates, Embressa was one of the Goddesses who chose a human companion. Frailen wanted Embressa since he first
set eyes on her. When he was rejected, he became furious with Embressa and killed her mate. Then, he used his manipulative personality to convince the other gods to join his cause to exterminate the goddesses. Frailen knew that if he killed the Goddesses, he would receive their power, Zodian had allowed this so that there would always be a balance.
Even with the feud there was still love to be found. Dragica fell madly in love with her creator, Zodian, and with time he came to love her as well. Out of their love, a child was born, a beautiful daughter they named Serena. She was born with powers all her own, the power of Darkness.
Not long after her birth, her mother disappeared and she lived with her father, Zodian, watching with him as the Gods and Goddesses continued to hate one another. She is the
strongest of the goddesses, as a child she was taught to harness and control her power enabling her to use her powers at will at a very young age. She was constantly climbing and playing on high places, so as a gift her father gave her black, feathered wings so she could fly. Her heart was as black as the darkness she controlled, and she was feared by all, both by Gods, Goddesses and the humans that served under them.
When she reached the age of twenty-two, her ageing stopped. Eventually she joined the Goddesses, in the hopes that if she could not bring peace between them, she could help them win whatever war was coming. But Zodian feared for his daughter, and in order to prevent what would have been universal chaos and possibly the destruction of all he enjoyed, he did what he felt was necessary to ensure the well-being of all. When Zodian learned that the Gods he had created began to destroy what he envisioned, he decided to separate the Gods from the Goddesses placing them into different worlds.
Zodian created Noir Lune for the Goddesses and Sole Luminoso for the Gods.
The first land, Noir Lune, was a land covered in total darkness. The only source of light was the light from the moon. The land was covered in beaches and had plenty of oceans. The portal to this land was hidden in a secret area on earth. For the Goddesses, he created a massive castle in the main city of Noir Lune, The Heart of Darkness. It was here he had his daughter, Serena, reside as the world's Queen.
The people in Noir Lune had pale complexions, and perfect night vision due to the lack of sun in their world. Although
those in Noir Lune yearned for peace, they followed the guidance of their queen who they knew would keep them safe. She taught them how to fight and defend themselves and groomed them into strong warriors, warriors that could defend the land if called upon.
The second land, Sole Luminoso, was a land covered in nothing but light from the sun. Sole Luminoso's major city was called The Sky of Light due to the way the sun made the land appear to be constantly covered in bright lights. The people who resided in Sole Luminoso had much darker skin, and a high tolerance for heat due to the constant sunlight.
The people of Sole Luminoso were much like their Gods, short of temper and bloodthirsty. They on the other hand did not yearn for peace because their hate for the ones living in darkness was too strong for them to allow for peace.
The two worlds had similar time flows but were not the same as the Earth. A week to the two worlds was a year in Earth’s time. The only way to enter either of these lands were by portals or doorways located in hidden areas of the Earth. The whereabouts of which known only to Zodian and the Goddesses and Gods who resided there.
Earth continued to be under Zodians rule, and as time passed the Earth evolved and became more advanced in technology and understanding. In order to keep Earth out of the coming war, and to prevent the corruption of the humans living there, Zodian kept them unaware of the other worlds and those residing in them.
