Avanee – Cyber Intelligence, New Delhi, India
The screen glowed blue in her dark bunker. Strings of encrypted codes flickered across it, and her fingers danced.
“Another cyberattack blocked,” she whispered.
Nobody called her by name here. They called her Ghost. Fearless. Untouchable. But tonight, even the strongest ghost paused as she stared at a photo hidden beneath her laptop—eight people. Laughing.
Her phone buzzed. “Message Group: The Chaos Crew.”
She didn’t open it.
Not yet.
Memories were a virus she hadn’t learned to quarantine.
She lived alone in a high-security government safehouse. No family. No friends. Just Avyann, who occasionally visited during his rare dock breaks. Only with him, she melted.
But the others? She didn’t trust them anymore.
Not after what they did.

Avyann – Navy Officer, Port Blair Naval Base
Waves crashed against steel. Warships floated like predators.
Avyann stood tall, face unreadable. His life was made of order and silence. But inside, a storm churned.
He hadn’t forgotten the vacation five years ago.
The lies.
The betrayal.
The blood.
But she was still in his heart—Avanee. The girl who could dismantle world governments with code... and him with a glance.
He opened message. Saw the unread messages. Ignored them.
His next mission: classified. But if “they” were planning a reunion?
He would go.
Not to forgive.
But to watch it all burn.

Aishi – Professor, London
Lectures echoed in the wide glass hall. Students took notes. But Aishi’s mind wandered.
Dhruv.
She hated him.
She missed him.
Both were equally true.
Her days were poised perfection. Her nights? Wine. Regret. Dreams where they were still twenty, tangled in bedsheets and stupid promises.
She’d blocked him. Yet she knew his game stats, his interviews, his injuries.
Her phone buzzed. Group chat.
She didn’t believe in reunions.
But maybe... she wanted revenge.

Dhruv – Footballer, Barcelona
The stadium roared his name.
But it meant nothing.
Each cheer echoed like a lie. Because the only person he wanted to hear from?
Would never speak to him again.
He was rich. Famous. Empty.
There were rumours about his flings. One of them was true. One had her name. One had Aishi's perfume still lingering on his skin.
His manager told him to delete the group chat.
Instead, he texted:
“So we doing this vacation or what?”
He hoped she’d see it.

Shreya – Trauma Surgeon, Zurich
Scalpel. Cut. Stitch. Save. Repeat.
People called her goddess in scrubs. But they didn’t know how often she stared into mirrors, wondering who she was becoming.
Harry still sent her love letters from war zones.
But she hadn’t replied to the last one.
Not since that night. The one she never talked about.
When someone else kissed her.
When she didn’t stop them.
Her heart was a battlefield. She lived in cold, clinical silence. Except when she opened the chat and laughed at old memes. Pretending she wasn’t unravelling.

Harry – Military Doctor, Kashmir Border Camp
Explosions didn’t scare him anymore.
Silence did.
He carried bullets in his pocket and Shreya’s photo in his dog tag. His team said she was lucky to have him.
He knew better.
Because she wasn’t just his anymore.
She was slipping.
And if this vacation was happening... he would protect her from everyone.
Even herself.
Even if it meant war.

Avantika – AI Company Head, Tokyo
The skyscraper gleamed beneath her heels.
“Another acquisition complete,” she told her assistant.
She wasn’t here to play nice. She was here to dominate the future.
But Ruhan’s calls were getting colder. And she noticed.
She didn’t tell him about the flirtatious investor who looked just like the guy from university—the one who knew her secret.
But the past was resurfacing.
The group chat pinged. She rolled her eyes.
Until she saw his name.
Then, she smiled

Ruhan – CDS Officer, Rajasthan Desert Base
Sandstorms and secrets.
Ruhan thrived in silence. Missions were clean. Targets, cleaner.
But love?
That was messy. Especially when your girlfriend had more walls than firewalls.
He trusted Avantika.
But not the guy in her Tokyo office.
Not the past she wouldn’t talk about.
He opened the group chat. Saw Dhruv’s message.
He typed back.
“Only if we all promise not to kill each other this time.”
He wasn’t joking.
