Chapter Nineteen The two friends had agreed to leave Cornwall that night, but Sean was clearly not in a condition to drive. Maintaining that he wanted to have a few drinks with their comrades, he stayed at the clubhouse. Johnnie would not try to talk him out of it. After all, his friend looked like he could use a drink. On his way out of the clubhouse, he sensed a familiar feeling: He couldn’t breathe; the air around him had become too thick.
