10.I quickly dialed Daniels’ number. The phone rang once, twice, three times, four times, and then Daniels’ voice scrambled onto the line.
“Hello,” he answered.
“This is Black. How are you making out?”
“We dropped Nicole off, and I’m heading back home to pick up my car.”
“Okay, when you get your car and you’re alone, call me back so I can give you the meeting location. Rose wants to meet in an hour and twenty-five minutes or so, and the location is in south Charlotte.”
“Okay, I’ll let you know.”
“Sounds good. Watch your back.”
