Standing Up for Herself

"What the fvck is going on here?!" The lady that strolled into the school cafeteria asked. She angrily gazed at the three but, they have already moved away from Vee, except from Emmett. Vee just leaned there, panting hard.

Her voice also made the vampires calm down but still, it didn't stop their hunger for blood.

"Hudson! Attend to your members! You Emmett! Office now!" She yelled.

"But..."

"No buts!" She yelled. He frowned and left the canteen.

The lady turned back to face the students.

"Khloe Brooks?" She asked.

I heard my name and raised my hand slowly.

"Oh, there you are darling. Report to my office when you're done eating, okay?"

"Yes ma" I muttered. She smiled and left. I turned to Angel immediately.

"Who is she?" I asked.

"Mrs Davis, she's the own of the school. You know, the great great great great grand daughter of the founder of Hellviore Academy" she explained. I understood immediately.

"And..."

"I better go now. I have no idea why she has called" I said, interrupting her.

"Just be careful" Angel said to me. I smiled and walked away. The medical team rushed in after I walk through those huge doors. They wanted to attend to Vee. She has lost a lot of blood. I swear, I never expected them to do just that. It's more than I expected from the bullies.

After finding my way to the principal's office, I stood in front of her door. I raised my hand to knock.

"But, we are trying our best mom. That girl challenged Alice and we're only teaching her a lesson" he said.

Hold on, did he just say mom? The owner of the school son is Emmett. How lucky of him.

"Who is out there?!" Mrs Davis yelled. I shook in fear.

"It's me ma'am. Uh... Khloe Brooks" I said.

"Come in" she said.

I twisted the knob and strolled in.

"We'll get back to this discussion Emmett. Now, leave" she said. Emmett walked pass me, brushing my shoulder. I staggered and almost fell.

"Don't mind my son. He is just being rude" she said.

I smiled weirdly till she asked me to sit. I sat down and she started asking me about my experience in the school so far. It was getting weird because she knew my name.

"Your mom and I were friends. She told me you were coming and here you are. I also heard you are a vampire" she said. Seem mom didn't tell her friend I was a Tribrid.

"Yes ma'am" I replied. She smiled.

"Make sure you enjoy your stay here. If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask me, okay?" She asked. I nodded in reply.

"Good girl. You may leave" she said softly. I've fallen in love with her voice. It's so sweet and calming.

I thanked and left the office. Just when I closed the door, I met Emmett. He was leaning on the wall, waiting for me.

I wanted to leave his side but he took my hand and stopped me.

"Alice and the Hudson are the only ones that know that Mrs Davis is my mom. Any word gets out about it, I'll fvck your mouth till you bleed" he said.

Was that a threat or promise?

"Of course" I said and freed myself from his grip. I walked away from him and head to my dorm.

Tomorrow was going to be different from today, I prayed. I got my uniform ready for tomorrow. Angel was brushing her hair and applying her skincare products. I admire her skin so much. But we are never the same.

"If you stare too much, you'll end up falling in love with me" she said.

I laughed softly.

"You're beautiful Angel. I wish I was like you" I said. Angel turned to me with the green face mask on her face.

"You can be like me. We'll share clothes, hairstyles and everything. We'll look like a twin. Sisters from different mother's" she said.

"Uh... No. I don't want to look like a barbie. I prefer normal look" I said. She turned away from me disappointedly.

"I can't wait for tomorrow" she said.

"What's happening tomorrow?"

"Vee. She hasn't given in yet. I can't wait to see what the three will do to her tomorrow" she said and squealed. I rolled my eyes and laid on the bed. The pain she's enduring hasn't healed yet but they still wish to hurt her more. How cruel of them.

Students stood in the hallway, talking to each other. Some were busy running, some were glaring at me. I was the nerd of the school.

I stood in front of my locker and slipped my bag into it. Someone closed it. I shrieked in fear and heaved a breath of relief when I saw it was Ethan.

"Jeez" I said, with my right hand on my chest.

"Did I scare you?" He asked.

"Of course, you did" I said. He smiled. I opened the locker and took my left over breakfast, sandwich.

"Want some?" I asked.

"No" he replied.

"More for me then" I said and was about to take a bite when he took a huge bite before me.

"Argh! Ethan!" I screamed his name and laughed. He laughed and chewed slowly.

"What happened yesterday? Everyone can't stop talking about it" he asked me.

"Someone was hurt yesterday" I said.

"The new girl?" He asked. I nodded.

"I knew they would bully her. Bad for her"

"But it's not right. If they are bullying her, it's because they are jealous of her powers. She's stronger than Alice" I said. Ethan grabbed my sandwich from my hand and shoved it inside my mouth.

"Haha!" He moved closer to me.

"Don't say that too loud. They have ears around the school. You wouldn't want to be their next victim, would you? I'll advice you to just lay low and not brush your nose in their case...." He kept on talking but my eyes weren't on him. There were on Vee. She was walking into the hallway, with a bandage around her head.

I felt pity for her. Everyone watched as she pass. It was as if they were giving a minute silent.

She head to her locker, dropped her bag and head to class.

"Fine, I won't say anything anymore. I have to go" I said and left him, running after Vee. I never knew we were in the same class till she walked into a classroom.

The students in the class also kept mute when she walked in. No one wanted to be close to her, well, everyone except me. I sat close to her.

"Hey, Vee" I called her name. She faced me with tears in her eyes. It was evident that she was still feeling the pain.

Witches are not like vampires and werewolf. They do not heal very fast.

"Hey" she said in a low tone. Her voice broke and she started sobbing again.

"It's okay, stop crying" I tried to stop her but she didn't stop. She kept on shedding tears.

"I'm hurt. I..." She stammered, out of words on what to say.

"I understand" I said and took her hands in mine. I've also been bullied, but not like this.

The next minute, the Three walked in and pushed every chair that was in their way. Vee stood up on her feet.

"What do you want now?" She asked.

"Ouch, little Vee is hurt" Alice said.

"Hey nerd, move out of the way" Hudson said.

"No, she's hurt and..."

"Yes sir!" Angel came and pulled me from Vee. Our hands fell free from each other.

"What are you doing?" I asked Angel.

"What are you doing? Do you wish for them to hurt you?" She asked me. Hudson grabbed Vee again and Alice started taking off the bandage from her face. She struggled to free herself but she's unable to. Alice saw the wound on her face. It was still sore. She slipped her hand into the bag and took her perfume.

"It's high in alcohol. It will just hurt a little... I mean, a lot" she said and sprayed it around her hair line where she was cut yesterday. The students turned their face away in disgust. They knew how painful it would be.

Vee screamed her lungs out but no teacher was coming to save her. Is this really a school? Who am I kidding, of course, it wasn't.

The pain was just unbearable. It was happening to her but I could feel it.

Hudson let go of her and pushed her to the floor.

"Have you given in now? Do you still challenge me?" Alice asked.

Vee raised her head and glared at Alice.

"Over my powerful hot dead body" she said, panting.

The students gasped. They knew the worse was coming but, I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to stop them so badly. I wanted to save Vee. She's going to get killed if she doesn't give in.

I pulled my hand from Angel's grip and rushed to Vee.

"Please, let her go. She hasn't done anything wrong" I said.

Everyone started murmuring. They called me names. Angel shook her head in disappointment. There's no way she would help me this time.

"Who is this?" Alice frowned, folding her hands.

"She's the nerd" Hudson said.

"Ah, I see. I hate dealing with nerds. They are boring" Alice said and faced me.

"Listen nerd, get lost or I'll have to go through you" she said.

I wasn't scared of her. Besides, I'm immune to every of their powers or spells. I can only hurt myself. I can only kill myself. That's one special gift of being a Tribrid.

"Let Vee go please" I pleaded again.

"Are you fvcking deaf?! Leave or we'll have to add you to our black list and also deal with you" Emmett growled, showing his red eyes. He's an Alpha, whatever. He doesn't scare me.

Vee held my leg.

"Just go. Let them do whatever they want" she said, with her cracked voice. She was bleeding again.

"No, I'm not..." Before I could complete my words, a resounding slap landed on my cheek. Everyone started laughing, some gasped, some were silent.

Alice slapped me. My glasses fell down and broke completely. A smirked appeared on my face as I turned to her.

She was shocked to see that her slap had no effect on me. She did that to change my mind and leave Vee's side. She thought I would possibly cry and rush to the bathroom, those are what her thoughts were saying but she's all wrong. I didn't feel any pain at all.

"Leave. Vee. Alone!" I spoke again, still standing fearless.
