Hellviore High Academy

About a week later... I sat in the passenger seat in mom's car, my eyes widened as I took in the sight of the school. The name, boldly written in front caught my attention. 'HELLVIORE HIGH ACADEMY' It was a sprawling campus, with modern buildings and state-of-the-art facilities surrounded by lush green fields and forests. Probably because it was renovated. It was found in the early 19s. As she drove through the gates and onto the main driveway, I saw other students walking around with their uniforms, their powers on full display. Some were flying through the air, while others were conjuring fire or water out of thin air, some were learning to transform to their wolf self in broad day light. It was a sight that both amazed and intimidated me. There was no way I could do all of this. I also couldn't believe that I was going to be a part of this world for a long time. Mom pulled the car over and turned to face me, with a reassuring smile on her face. I know. she's about to give me that sweet advice. "It's going to be okay. I've made all your necessary arrangements online. If you need anything, just tell me. I'm just one phone call away. You're going to be surrounded by people who understand what you're going through, and you'll have the chance to learn how to control and use your powers. It's an amazing opportunity, and I know you're going to thrive here." She gave a short speech. I took a deep breath and nodded. I knew that my mom was right, and I was determined to make the most of this opportunity. I grabbed my backpack and climbed out of the car, ready to face whatever challenges came my way or not... I'm just going to be that week geek from Golden Villa High. Mom left me with a lot of notes and clothes for the semester. I just stood like a dumbass in front of my dormitory, my backpack slung over my shoulder as I watched mom's car drive away. I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness as I realized that I was now on my own at the school I don't even know about. Of course, mom had hugged me tightly before leaving, reminding me to be brave and to make the most of this opportunity. I tried to nod, trying to push down the butterflies in my stomach. I have always been an independent and self-sufficient person, but I've never been away from home for this long before. As I turned to go into my dorm, I saw a group of students walking towards me. They were all around my age, and I could sense that they had powers similar to mine. And yes, some aren't wearing uniform. I pulled my luggage behind me, hoping to find my way around. One of them, a tall boy with dark hair and piercing blue eyes, stopped in front of me and held out his hand. "Hi, I'm Ethan," he said with a friendly smile. "Welcome to the school for supernaturals. I'm sure you'll fit in just fine." Such a nice, cute voice. My lips curved into a smile. Another girl was close to him. They wore matching uniforms. That's because they were the tour guide for today. I immediately remembered what mom said about them welcoming her with open arms. "I'm Angel. I love your hair" she said. "Thanks. Um.. I'm Khloe" I finally spoke. For some seconds, I thought I lost my voice. "We know. We've been expecting you. You are my room mate and we're your tour guide for today" Angel said and took my backpack and other luggages. "I'll take this to your room while Ethan will take you round the school" she said. "Thanks" I said again, adjusting my glasses. "This way" Ethan smiled. I blushed and followed him. He has a cute smile. I knew that I was going to have to work hard and make new friends if she wanted to thrive at this school, and that is what I'm determined to do. As I turned to follow Ethan and the other new students, I couldn't wait to see what awaits me. . I still followed Ethan and the other students as he toured us around the school. I was amazed by the facilities, which included everything from classrooms and labs to training centers and even a pool specifically designed for students who could breathe underwater. As we walked through the corridors, I couldn't help but notice the other students giving me curious looks. I knew that I was an outsider and that it would take time for me to fit in, but they weren't staring at other students. It was just me. Me! "Now, we're going to the sport center..." Ethan spoke softly. Just as we were about to turn a corner, I accidentally bumped into someone and stumbled backwards. I looked up and saw a tall, muscular boy with piercing green eyes and dark hair scowling down at me. I opened my eyes halfway and blocked the sunlight from blinding my eyes. I also did that so that I would be able to see the guy in front of me. Have I had a huge mistake?. He was known around the school as the top bully, and I could feel my heart racing as I realized that I had just crossed him. "Watch where you're going you geek!" the boy growled, his voice dripping with anger. Geek... because of my glasses. The name just doesn't cease to come out from everyone's mouth. My face turned red as I stammered out an apology. "I.. I'm sorry" I could feel the other students watching, and I knew that I had made a mistake. But before I could say anything more, Ethan stepped in. "Come on, Hudson, give her a break," Ethan said. "She's new here. She doesn't know the rules yet." Hudson glared at Ethan for a moment before grudgingly backing down. "You'd better tell her the rules. Next time she stumbled on my path, I'll break her into three" he said, before storming off down the corridor. Hold on, break me into three. I'm a human with a organs. How can he break me! Goddamn it! I let out a sigh of relief and turned to Ethan. "Thanks for helping me" I murmured and stood up, adjusting the glasses on my face. "It's fine. Just avoid him and don't stare at him when he's talking to you. He's a vampire, you wouldn't want to get your memory wiped out" Ethan said jokingly. Not just to me, also to the other students. Of course, I nodded in understanding. I knew that I had a long way to go before I would start to feel comfortable at this school, but I was grateful for the friends I had made so far. I also had to learn the so called rules that the guy from earlier just talked about. . After another hour of touring round the school, I stumbled into my dorm room, exhausted but exhilarated after my first day. I had met so many new people. I couldn't wait to see what the rest of my time at this school would bring. "Tired?" I heard a female voice. Hurriedly, I sprung up from the bed. I almost forgot I wasn't at home and that I have a room mate now. "Oh, I didn't see you there" I chuckled nervously. "It's okay. You should rest. You have a big day tomorrow" Angel said. I just chuckled again. I didn't know how to make friends. My life in her former school was just filled with bullying and torture. "Good night" I said to Angel before I collapsed onto my bed and fell asleep almost instantly, my dreams filled with images of flying through the air and conjuring fire out of thin air. I wish I could do all of that in real life. The next morning, I was woken up by the sounds of birds chirping and splash of the rays of the sun. I felt refreshed and ready to start a new day. But I almost forgot about the rules. Be early for breakfast. Thank goodness for Angel who woke me up after she had taken her bath. It was going to be difficult for her to understand campus life. Hurriedly, I got dressed in my new uniforms. It was a white plains shirt with short tartan skirt. It was a little short for me that I had to wear a long socks. But, thank goodness for the shorts that's inside. I left my room and headed to the dining hall for breakfast, where I met up with Ethan and the other students I met on my tour yesterday. We all chatted and laughed as we ate. It was something I've never done before in my former school. Just as I was on my own table, the hall fell silent immediately. I stopped eating. "What's happening?" I asked. "They have arrived" Angel whispered. "Who?" I asked. "Shh" she shushed me and kept on staring at them with her dreamy eyes. I swiftly turned and gazed at them. A frown fell on my face when I saw the guy from yesterday. The one that growled angrily at me, that asshole. But he wasn't alone. He was with a girl and another boy. Now I understood what was going on. I remembered Ethan telling me yesterday. About their so called rules. In my former school, whenever the hot guys are walking into the cafeteria, the ladies always scream out their lungs and run to them but here, it's the opposite. Stay on your f*****g seat and don't say a single word till they are seated. Don't even touch them but you're free to stare at them. I don't even want to strain my eyes looking at them. I admit, they are hot but.. They walked pass me and Hudson exchanged glances with me. I hurriedly looked away from him and adjusted my glasses. I remembered that I didn't want to look at them. Finally, they sat down and everyone started to talk. I leaned forward and asked the question that has been on my mind. "Who the fvck are they?" I asked. "You remember the guy from yesterday. He's Hudson" Ethan started. "He's hot and dreamy. All the ladies wants to get him into their pants. He loves ladies and loves to flirt with them but don't worry, you're safe. You're a nerd. No offense though" Angel continued. I smirked. Of course, I looked like a nerd. My hair was braided into two while my huge glasses completed the look. "The other guy... Don't even think about him. He's the most handsome guy in the school. No one can mess with him and get away with it. He's not as calm and gentle as Hudson. His name is Emmett, the strongest werewolf in the school. He's also The Alpha of the pack. Oh my goodness, if he likes you... He'll have you. But once he's bored, he'll dump you. Just know that once you get on Hudson's bad side, you're his automatically his enemy" Angel concluded. Jeez...I turned and caught him smirking. Of course, he's a wolf. He heard everything we said. "Whatever" was my response. I wasn't interested in any one. I just came here to learn to control my powers. "So khloe, what are you?" Ethan suddenly asked. My breath ceased for about five seconds. I have been hoping and praying silently that no one ask such question. "Huh?" I asked, as if I didn't hear him. "What are you?" Angel asked again. I lowered her gaze and left my food. "I..I don't know. I'm not sure, that's why I'm here" I said. Angel was silent. Even everyone on the table were silent. I thought they were going to laugh at me but they didn't. "Thank the stars, I'm not the only one that doesn't know who he is. Thank goodness I met you" Ethan said. I chuckled nervously because I lied. I knew what I was but can't tell anyone. Mom already told me to act like a novice when it comes to showing off abilities. I already know that I am a Tribrid. But Tribrids never last long and that's why I'm going to keep my identity a secret. Though, I haven't being able to shape shift into a wolf. I've only been a little good with my vampire and witches powers. Ethan had been in the school for three years already. He doesn't know what exactly he is. Suddenly, the bell went off. "Yay, it's time" Angel said happily. I wore a questioning look on my face, snapping back to reality. "What time is it?" I asked. "Remember, I told you that you have a big day today. It's time for the newbies to test. You'll get to know who you are today" she said and walked away. "Oh... I see" I said nervously. I turned my head and stood up to take my bag. My gaze met with Emmett. I rushed and followed Angel behind.
