Abilities Test

The training field was so huge. I, together with some other students stood there. The other students sat around, distanced from us, they wanted to see what everyone of us was capable of.

I just stood nervously, close to other students, my hands folded behind my back as I waited for my turn to test my abilities. I saw some students welcomed into the pack. I stretched my head and was able to see that they weren't led by any teachers. It was by the three people that walked into the dinning hall earlier.

Emmett was the Alpha of his pack, and the strongest werewolf in the school. Hudson was also the Vampire head, the one ruling the vampires in the school. The last girl, Alice. She was the head of witches. They were other people with different abilities and some who can't even tell what power they had.

I knew that this test would be a major milestone, and I couldn't shake the feeling of nervousness that had settled in my stomach. I'm just scared not to outdo it. I won't want anyone knowing I'm a Tribrid.

Ethan, who was sitting behind me, noticed my anxiety and called my name. I heard his soft voice and turned to face him. He was with Angel.

"You'll do great," he said with a smile. Well, I knew that I was going to do bad. There's no way I could face these people. They are the most powerful in the school.

" You can do this khloe!" Angel yelled. I was feeling quite embarrassed and happy at the same time.

I smiled back at them, waved at them for their support.

Finally, it was my turn. I walked to the center of the field, where the instructor was waiting for me.

It was Hudson first. I was going to see if I'm was a vampire first. He smirked when he saw me. I prefer to be seen as a vampire than a werewolf.

"Nerd..." He mumbled under his breath and folded his hands. He explained the test, which involved using my powers to complete a series of challenges.

I took a deep breath and focused, summoning all of the control and concentration. I passed the first challenge with ease, using the power of my mind to lift and move heavy objects.

I did believe I could do that. I was always grabbing remote and other things from the table. So, it was easy for me.

Hudson smirked.

"Not bad. Now, learn to protect yourself from the attack. You are to test your fast reflexes and speed. You should take off your glasses sweetheart" he said. The fool just called me sweetheart.

I groaned.

"I'm good" I said.

"Suit yourself" he walked to the machine to set the small rocks to start hitting me at time interval.

"No one has ever pass this challenge"

"Yeah, she's going to lose"

Everyone started to murmur.

"Go!" Hudson said, pointing the machine at her.

I moved away from the machine and dodging the rocks. They stood up on their feet to watch me. They were amazed. Am I getting popular? Everyone stood up to watch me! Hudson saw that I was dodging all of his rocks, he increased the speed.

Unfortunately, there was no way for me to dodge that. The rock hit my body, making me feel the pain, until the last one hit my forehead and I fell back on the floor. My glass cracked at the corner.

Everyone sighed in disappointment. They thought I was doing well till I fell. I scratched the back of my head nervously and stood up.

"You were doing great. I warned you about your glasses" Hudson said to me.

"Thanks" I said and walked away. I was going to join the vampires.

The next person was someone that toured with me yesterday. I didn't remember her name but she was very beautiful.

"A witch... Hmm" Alice said proudly.

"My mom's a witch, so yes" she said, folding her hands. Alice scoffed.

"I see. Well, let's try some tricks, shall we? Let me also teach you some manners" She smirked and walked to her podium. Everyone, including Hudson faced Alice to see what she was going to do with the new girl.

She stood, majestically at the center of the training field, her heart racing as she faced off against the witch. She was a formidable opponent, with powerful magic at her disposal, but she was determined to prove that she was not to be underestimated. She was good with magic because her mother trained with her. Her problem was that she was unable to control her strength.

Alice sneered at the girl, her eyes glowing with a sinister light. "You think you can defeat me, huh?" she asked, her voice dripping with contempt. "You are no match for my magic."

She clenched her fists, drawing on all of the control and concentration she had learned from her mother. She knew that this was her chance to prove herself, and she was not going to back down.

"We'll see about that," she said, her voice steady and confident.

Alice attacked first, unleashing a flurry of magical attacks that the girl was barely able to dodge. But she was ready for her, using her powers to counter Alice's magic and land a few blows of her own.

The fight was fierce and intense, with both opponents giving it their all. Alice tried every trick in the book, but she was one step ahead, using her powers to outmaneuver the girl and catch her off guard.

Finally, with a final burst of energy, the girl landed the winning blow, defeating the Alice. She flew half way across the field and landed on the floor. Everyone gasped and started murmuring.

The new girl flung her long hair to the back and raised her head proudly.

"Are you okay?" Emmett was there to help her up.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He asked again.

She nodded with a smile.

"I'm fine" she said.

The girl walked to Alice.

"I'm a witch. Welcome me to your team" she said and walked away.

Emmett wanted to go after her but Alice stopped him.

"It's fine. Just let her be. We'll deal with her later" she said and walked away. Emmett's gaze followed her till she walked away.

I gazed at him from distance.

I blinked repeatedly as my eyes locked on the tall, muscular figure, standing. I couldn't help but feel a flutter in my stomach as I took in the sight of the werewolf, his dark hair tousled and his piercing dark eyes seeming to look right through me.

There was something about his rugged good looks and the way he carried himself that was just so... hot. I snapped back to reality and touched my cheek. They were getting hot. I really need to leave from here and stop thinking about the guy that'll never be with a geek like me.

Some already knew what they were. They just needed to confirm it.

After the testing, We went to our assigned locker and we were welcomed to our new team.

Angel rushed to me.

"You almost defeated almighty Hudson, I can't believe that?" She said.

"I know right. Maybe I'm a vampire after all" I said, smiling.

"I'm really worried about the other girl, khloe" Angel added.

"Why?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.

"She publicly humiliated Alice, she's going to come back for revenge" she said.

"What?" I said.

"I told you that once anyone get on their bad side, you'll become their enemy. Right now, she just messed Alice. She humiliated them in public, they are going to come after her" she said.

"They are just jealous that she beat them" I said, finding it hard to believe.

"I'm going to be late for our coven meeting. Talk to you later" Angel said and waved at me. I waved back and took my vampire uniform. It was black sport suit with long pants. It also comes in a short. I wore the long pants and find my way to the gym where the other vampires were.
