Chapter 18: "Will you be my girlfriend?"

ANNA'S P.O.V

A month had passed. Nathan and I became the greatest bestfriend. He is always there for me when I'm sad or happy. He is always there when I need someone to talk to. He filled every single days with happiness which made me so glad that we are both bestfriends.

But there's one thing that confused me. I may or may not have another feeling to him. It's like.. I love him 'more' than just as bestfriend. Like whenever he took care of me or when we went out together I always feel like I'm home. When he looked at me in the eyes, my heart beats so fast. Or when I saw girls tried to flirt with him I would feel jealous. Isn't that weird?

I don't know what it is but I think I love him.. more. Which is weird because I never thought I would fall in love ever again, not after Edward and Nick. Whenever I'm with Nathan, I feel safe. Whenever he is with me, he makes me happy. He is definitely more than just a bestfriend to me, no doubt. But there's no way I could hope too much on him, he only likes me as his bestfriend though.

"Oi" someone tapped my shoulder.

I jumped and turned around to find a giggling Nathan. "f**k you just scared the s**t out of me!"

"Hey don't swear!" he chuckled as put his finger on my lips.

NATHAN'S P.O.V

"Ow!" I winched in pain as she bit my finger.

"That's for trying to stop me from cursing, Nayfan" she folded her hands as if she was mad at me.

"Did you just call me Nayfan?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Yeah, cute isn't it?"

"Cute?! That is the ugliest nickname I've ever heard"

"No, it's cute! It's like the mixture of NaeNae and Fan. So you're like a fan of NaeNae. I'd definitely be calling you Nayfan now" she smiled proudly.

"What the f**k is NaeNae? Is that even a word?"

Honestly.. What the hell is NaeNae?!

"Hey don't swear!" she hit my arm playfully, giving a payback as I did to her earlier. "Do you really not know what NaeNae is?"

I shook my head. I have no idea what NaeNae is. It sounds ridiculous, honestly.

"Haven't you heard the song NaeNae? Now watch me whip whip, watch me nae nae" she sang and did the weirdest dance I have ever seen in my life.

I laughed so hard. She honestly looked so silly but cute at the same time. She is definitely driving me crazy.

ANNA'S P.O.V

"Anna hurry up!"

We arrived at this department store. Nathan asked me to pick up an outfit for tonight. I don't remember having a night out with him but I guess he is going out with someone tonight.

What bugged me a lot is that Nathan seemed so happy and excited. He couldn't stop smiling. He is probably going on a date with someone tonight. I was not excited for him, knowing that he would go on a date with someone else.

"What do you think about this one?" he came to me showing me a white suit.

"Too old for you"

He nodded then took another one. "What about this?" he came with another grey suit.

"Erm not good on you"

"This one?" he asked again.

"No" I simply said.

He sighed as he looked stressed. I looked the other way, not wanting to meet his eyes. He can't know that I'm jealous. Yes, jealous. Jealous at the thought of him going on a date with another girl.

"Are you okay?" he asked, putting his hand on my shoulder.

I quickly shoved his hand away. "I'm fine. It's just erm it's hot here" that was probably the dumbest excuse I could come up with.

He sighed and hung the suit back to the hanger. He didn't say anything after that but kept on looking for another pair by himself, without asking for my opinion again. After a while, he came back with a bag of his suit.

We left to a dress shop. This time, Nathan asked me to pick out a dress for 'his' girl. He admitted he had no idea about girl's fashion so he asked for my opinion.

"Please, Anna, I really like this girl. I don't know what girls like so please, pick out a dress that you think will look good" he literally begged.

My heart sank as he mentioned the girl. And as much as I was upset at him, I would do anything to make him happy. He has done a lot for me so it's my turn to help him.

I sighed. "Fine, fine. I will help you" He sighed of relief and smiled at me. "Wait, what is her size?"

"Erm I'm not sure, probably the same size as yours" he scratched his neck.

I just nodded and started to look for a good dress. My mind wonder who the girl is. Probably Leah? Maybe they are a thing again? But Leah is even skinnier than me.

I found a purple lace dress. It's simple but look so elegant, not too sexy yet still looking so gorgeous. (Picture is on the display)

I took it from the hanger and tried it in the fitting room. I put the dress on and looked at myself in front of the mirror. It fit perfectly on me, I looked beautiful. It showed the shape of my body. I love this dress, I wish I could be the one who wear this dress for tonight.

I sighed and undressed my self. I walked out of the fitting room to find Nathan sitting on the couch, a smile appeared on his face as stared at his phone screen. Probably texting with that girl. I cleared my throat and he looked up to see me.

"Oh, hey! Have you find one?" he stood up and put his phone back on his pocket.

"Yep, there you go. This may be simple but look elegant though" I said as I handed him the dress. He looked at the dress and smiled.

"It's perfect! Thanks, Ann. I will go pay this for a minute" he said and went to pay for the dress.

I sat on the couch. I couldn't believe I actually fall in love with him. But he loves another girl. I may be jealous but as long as he is happy then I will be happy for my bestfriend too.

After that, Nathan insisted that we would go for lunch before driving us back home. The whole ride was awkward. None of us bothered to start a conversation but I don't care, I'm not in the good mood to talk to him anyway.

NATHAN'S P.O.V

We arrived at my house and Anna quickly stormed in the house without saying anything to me. I pulled the driveways back and drove to The Wanted's house. I have a very great plan for tonight, and looks like half of my plan succeed.

"What's up mate" Max asked as I arrived at The Wanted's house.

"Where's everyone?" I asked as I looked at the empty house.

"Siva and Nareesha are still in Ireland. Tom and Kelsey went to visit Kelsey's brother who's ill. Jay went to McDonalds. So here I am with Carrie" he opened the can of coke.

I just nodded and pulled out my phone to text Jay, reminded him that tonight he should be there to support me on my date.

"So how's your plan for tonight?" he asked.

I grinned. "Well I think our plan works, she looked pissed at me"

He smirked. "See? I told you she would be jealous to you mate! So what are you going to do tonight?"

"I will just ask Jess to deliver the dress to her, then I will send a car to my house to her pick up"

"Sounds good mate! I hope it goes well and you can win her heart" he winked at me, I laughed.

"I hope so mate. Thanks for the help"

And yep with that, I planned to ask Anna to go on a date with me tonight. The whole buying suit and dress was just a distraction for her. I wanted to see if she was jealous when I told her I was going on a date with a girl, and she looked pissed and jealous. She didn't realize that the girl I meant was actually her. I really can't wait for my date tonight.

ANNA'S P.O.V

I'm bored as hell! Nathan was out since he drove me home. Probably busy planning for his date tonight. I sat on the sofa, changing the channels of TV if I could find any good shows but I found nothing. I heard a door knock, I opened the door to find Karen and Jess.

"Hey, Anna" Karen greeted as I let them in.

"Hi, how's your work?" I asked her, helping her to take the bag of shopping. She must have been at supermarket to buy tonight's dinner.

"Good but tiring" she smiled as she went to her room.

"Here's your package, Anna" Jess handed me a box.

"What is this?" I asked confused.

"I don't know. Someone gave it to me to give it to you. Have fun" she winked at me before storming to her room.

Who is that 'someone'?

I walked back to my room, sitting on my bed as I opened the box. My eyes widen as I saw the purple dress Nathan and I bought earlier. It had a pair of peach heels as well.

Why does Nathan give these to me?

I thought this dress was for the girl he would be on a date with. I saw a paper slipped on the dress, I took it and read it.

I found myself blushing. Nathan wanted to go on date with me? So the girl he meant was actually me?

I looked at the clock and saw it's already 6.35 PM. I need to go get ready. I stormed into the bathroom to take a quick shower. I turned the water off, grabbed the towel and wrapped it around my body.

I put the dress on and did a bit of my make-up on, the natural one of course. I brushed my hair and curled my hair a bit. I sprayed my floral perfume and put the heels on. I stood in front of the mirror and looked at my self.

I looked so different. For once I feel beautiful. I couldn't help but smile. I can't believe Nathan wanted to go on a date with me. Just then I heard a horn coming from the car, it must be the car to pick me up.

I grabbed my purse and went downstairs to meet Jess and Karen already stood on the edge of the stairs. They smiled as they looked at me.

"Oh my God you are so beautiful!" Jess ran to hug me. I giggled and hugged her back.

"You're looking incredibly beautiful, hun" Karen said this time, giving me a hug.

"Thank you so much" I smiled at them.

"Well have fun for tonight! I'm expecting to hear you both get into a relationship once you are home" Jess winked at me.

"Jess" I rolled my eyes playfully.

"I would be glad and happy if you and Nathan are together, sweetie" Karen said.

"It's just a dinner, I think. We are just bestfriends"

"Nope, you're not only a bestfriend for Nathan. He definitely loves you, Anna! He couldn't shut his mouth from talking about you" Jess giggled. I felt my cheeks became so warm, blushing.

"Alright, you need to go, sweetie. Nathan is waiting for you. Have fun" Karen said as she kissed my cheek.

"Thanks. I'll you see both again tonight" I gave them a big hug before get in the car.

NATHAN'S P.O.V

I sat here, in the restaurant, waiting for Anna to come. I'm so nervous, definitely shitting myself. What if Anna doesn't love me? She may just love me as bestfriend. I know this is too soon to ask her to be my girlfriend but I don't want to wait. I don't want her to love someone else again. I have been waiting for her for so long.

"Don't be nervous, mate. She will say yes tonight" Jay said not far from me.

"I hope so, mate"

Yeah I asked Jay to be our private waiter. It was actually a restaurant where Jay used to work in. It was in the middle of London and the views was beautiful. Since Jay and the owner of this restaurant were still so close, he could get a special place in the rooftop for me.

"Oh there she is!" Jay pointed.

I looked up to see a very beautiful girl walking towards me. Anna. She wore the purple dress we bought earlier. It fit on her perfectly, the dress showed every curves of her body. I couldn't help but admiring her beauty. She is just so beautiful. Absolutely beautiful in that dress, and the peach heels she wore making her look more mature.

"Hey" I greeted as she stood in front of me.

"Hi Nayfan" she giggled.

I pulled out the chair for her, she mouthed thanks and sat on it. I sat across her. I couldn't stop staring at her. She is definitely the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life.

ANNA'S P.O.V

"Hello, Mr. Sykes and Ms. Pieters. I'm here as your private waiter, I'll be serving your foods in the next 15 minutes"

"How do you know my- Jay? What are you doing here?" I was surprised to find Jay dressed in a waiter outfit.

"Well as the matter of fact Nathan asked me to be your private waiter" he smirked, making me laughed.

Jay assured that he would bring our foods in 15 minutes. But before that, he served us our drinks. Nathan knew that I don't drink soda or alcohol so he ordered me an apple juice while he had a coke.

"You look beautiful, Ann" Nathan said as Jay left.

I blushed. "Erm thank you, you don't look bad yourself" I giggled.

He smiled as stood up and extended his hand to me. "Come here"

I stood up and he took me by the hand. He lead me to the end of the roof, I looked up to see the view of London. It was so beautiful. The lights were everywhere. I never thought London was this beautiful at night. Nathan wrapped his arms around me as he rested his chin on my shoulder. I couldn't help but smiled, just like when we were in London Eye.

"Nath, it's beautiful" my eyes were still locked on the views.

"Not as beautiful as you, babe"

Did he just call me babe?

He slowly turned me around so I faced him. My heart beats faster as our eyes met. Those green eyes I fell in love with. He had a smile on his face as he pulled me closer to him so my body pressed against his chest.

"I'm sorry, for everything I've done to you a few months ago. I was a jerk to you, I should have never humiliated you and ruined your life. But Anna you changed me. You changed me into someone I used to be. You made me realized that what I have done in the past was wrong" he paused. "You have no idea how much I love you. You made me feel loved ever since we became bestfriends. You took care of me when I'm sick. You were there for me. You made me happy and you put a smile on my face everyday. You fill my days with happiness. Being with you is absolutely a thing I've always wanted to be. I wanna be the guy who have you in my arms. I wanna be the guy who calls you babe. I wanna be the guy who tells you how much I love you. I wanna be the guy you cuddle and hug. I wanna be the guy who kiss you with all the love. But mostly, I wanna be the guy who you are in love with" he said, looking into my eyes.

I froze with those words. Nathan loves me. He just told me he loves me.

"I promise I will try to never, ever, hurt you. I will be there for you. I will love you with all my heart. I will make you happy. I want to put a smile on your face everyday because honestly, you have the most beautiful smile I've ever seen in my life. I will do anything to make you happy because honey, I love you so much. I love you more than you'll ever know" he said, then took my hands. "Anna Pieters, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked.

I was speechless. NATHAN JUST ASKED ME TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND! I never thought this day would come.

"I-"

NATHAN'S P.O.V

"Yes Nathan, I wanna be your girlfriend" she finally said.

I smiled so wide. SHE SAID YES!! I never thought she would love me after all I've done to her in the past.

"Thank you Anna" I said.

She just smiled, looking at me in the eyes. Then I looked at her lips, she did the same. I slowly leaned in to kiss her. It was a very passionate kiss. Her lips was so soft. She closed her eyes as we kissed. She pulled me closer as the kiss deepen. I grabbed her waist, pulling her closer. I really love the kiss.

"I love you Anna" I said as we pulled away from the kiss, but faces were still close.

"I love you too Nathan" she smiled before pecked my lips.

We pulled away as Jay came to serve our foods. We went back to sit.

"Your hair is a mess Nath, I'm guessing you two make out" Jay giggled.

"Yeah mate, she said yes" I said.

"You said yes?" he asked Anna and she just nodded. "Damn, congrats guys! I told you you both soon will be in love. I'm so happy for you both" Jay said he hugged Anna.

"Thanks Jay!" Anna and I said together.

"Well enjoy your dinner then, my job is done here"

Jay and I did our bro hug before he went out. Anna and I began to enjoy our dinner. Some time I fed her eat and vice versa. I'm so happy that she is finally mine. I have never been so lucky in my life. We went back home after a few hours later. We told Jess and my mom that we are officially a couple.

I picked her up in bridal style as I brought her to my room. We spent the rest of the night by cuddling and talking some random things. No 'funny' business of course. She then fell asleep in my arm. Today was a very special day. I closed my eyes to sleep beside her. She's mine now. Yeah, mine.
