Chapter 20: "You are just a game to him"

-2 days later-

ANNA'S P.O.V

"Hurry up, we're going to be late!" Nathan said as we arrived at university.

"1 second" I said as I applied my lip-balm. "Done!"

He opened the door of the car for me and took me by the hand. He gave me a smile and pecked my lips before we headed to the class. He intertwined his fingers on mine as we walked down the corridor.

Everyone was looking at us, like they just witnessed something weird. I felt so uncomfortable as pairs of eyes kept glancing at us. Nathan noticed it too, because then he rub my palm softly and kept on walking.

As we finally reached the class, we sat down on our seats. I pulled out my notebook from my bag when I spotted Nick's usual seat.

Nick

I haven't seen him for a month. He left me and just disappeared like a ghost. He just left me with all his broken promises. I'm so gutted that he left, I have missed him a lot. Though that he broke my heart, but I understood him. I know it will be hard to be in a long-distance relationship. He doesn't want to hurt me. He doesn't want to upset me because he won't be back here. Though I wish we could talk about it. I'm sure we would have figured it out.

I tried to ring him the other day but his number was no longer active. I just wished that we could at least still in contact and be friends with no hurt feelings. After all, he was the one who was here with me and helped me with my illness. He was still my bestfriend and I still love him no matter what.

"You're thinking about him, aren't you?" Nathan rubbed my back.

"I'm fine" I smiled at him.

Just then Mr. Jimmy walked in the class. He greeted us before starting the class. Today's lesson is about the anatomy of human. This is one of my favorite lesson from Science. I secretly wished I could be a doctor one day.

I looked aside to see Nathan who had this focus face on him, I smiled at the thought of him learning. He had missed a lot of classes since he quit the class last month so he tried to catch up.

"I'm going to the restroom" I announced to Nathan.

"Okay"

I stood up and excused myself to Mr. Jimmy, before heading to the restroom. I washed my face and looked at my self in the mirror. I don't know why I couldn't focus in the class. My mind was out somewhere.

I sighed and fixed my self when I heard the door opened and Leah walked in. She looked at me and made her way towards me. I tried not to notice her, even though I was a bit worried of her. She then stood in front of me and looked at me from up to down, with this disgusting look on her face.

"Anna, isn't it?" she raised an eyebrow. I swear her tone of voice was fricking annoying. "I see, so you are Nathan's new slut, huh?"

I frowned as she said that. I'm a slut?! How dare she!

"Listen to me you f*****g b***h," she stepped ahead and choked my neck, making me gasped. "I don't get what Nathan sees in you, I'm way better than you. You're just a slut who used Nathan for his d**k. You are ugly and worthless, you don't even deserve him. He's way too good for you," her words were full of venom. "I mean look at you.. Small boobs, ugly face, stupid brunette, and your body.. eww you're so fat, you need to lose weight"

I felt tears were building up my eyes, ready to fall whenever I couldn't hold it. Her words were so evil. No one has said hurtful things to me like that. I felt so worthless.

"Aww you're holding your tears, why, you're gonna cry? Cry all you want, b***h. You need to know that you are just a stupid girl who is going to die soon with her illness" she smirked.

My eyes widen. "H-how did you know?"

"I know everything about you. Your silly illness, your family, your secrets, everything"

I gulped. "What do you want from me, Leah?"

She shot me a death glare. "Don't you dare calling my name, you b***h!" she choked my neck once again, I whimpered in pain.

"Let go, I-I can't breath" I hissed in pain.

She loosen her grip on my neck. "I want you to stay away from Nathan"

I shook my head. "You know I can't do that. He's my boyfriend!"

She laughed sarcastically. "Boyfriend? Do you really think he is admitted into a relationship? Girl, you clearly don't know him. He doesn't do relationships! You are just a game to him"

"What do you mean?"

"I will let you find it out yourself, and trust me, I can't wait to see your face when the truth reveals," she smirked and stepped away from me. "By the way, nice to meet you, sweetie" she smiled, wait, FAKE smile.

She turned around and left, leaving me dumbfounded. Before I even realized, those tears I have been holding had already escaped my eyes. I was a game to Nathan? The truth reveals? What did she mean by that? Is there something I didn't know?

I couldn't help but being worried about it. Did she really tell me the truth? Or was she just trying to mess with me? I know how Nathan was but I have seen him changed, to be a better person. I don't believe it if he's playing with me. His feelings to me are sincere, I can feel it. Maybe Leah was just trying to tear me and Nathan apart. We all know she is an evil who will do anything to get everything she wants. I won't believe anything she has said.

"You can do this, Anna. Don't believe anything she said" I said to my self.

I sighed and went into one of the stall and sat on the toilet, trying to calm my self. It didn't last long until I heard the bell rang, which means that I have missed the class. I wiped my tears and washed my face once again. I looked at my self in the mirror and couldn't help but remember all those hurtful things Leah has said about me. Fat. Ugly.

I gasped when I saw red mark on my neck, must be from Leah when she brutally choked me to death. I untied my hair to cover it and washed my hand before heading back to the class to find a worrying Nathan.

"Hey are you okay? What happened? Where have you been? You missed the rest of the class, what the hell is going on? I was worried about you" he started bombarding me with questions.

I couldn't help but giggled at his concern. "Relax babe, I'm alive"

He sighed. "What took you so long?" he asked as he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "Wh-what is that?" he looked surprised to see something on my neck.

Oh s**t!

NATHAN'S P.O.V

I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear when I saw this huge mark on her neck.

She quickly let her hair fall to cover her neck. "It's nothing. I just scratched my neck"

I shook my head. "No, it's not nothing. Let me see" I brushed her hair to see the clearer view.

I gasped when I saw it was a hand printed.

"Who did this to you?!"

"Nath, it's fine. Nobody's doing anything to me, I told you I just scratched my neck"

"No, don't lie to me. I know the difference mark between scratching and choking. Now, tell me who did this to you?"

She looked unsure and bite her lips. The thing she does whenever she is nervous. I couldn't help but wonder whose motherfucker dare to do this to her. She is the sweetest girl ever and people are cruel to do this to her.

No. No that couldn't be. Could it be her? The only person who hates my relationship with her is.. Leah. Could it be her?

"It was Leah" she finally said.

My muscle tensed up. Oh no. What did she tell to her? My heart's racing so fast. I really hoped she didn't say anything to Anna. Not now. It's not the right time now.

"W-what did she say to you?" I asked worriedly.

She looked down. "Just stuff about my appearances. And apparently she doesn't like our relationship"

I frowned. "Babe, I'm so sorry"

She shook her head. "It's not your fault, Nathan"

I smiled and pulled her into hug. She leaned in and hugged me back. I promised to protect her. I made a big mistake in the past, and I'm trying to fix it. I don't ever want to be Leah's toy anymore. I'm so done with her, but I gotta do something for this once. I'm so going to f**k up, but this is the only way to solve everything. And I hope I'm doing it right.
