Zoey's POV
Soon, I came out after changing my clothes and waved to Roland and Octavio.
I said, "I'm heading back now. Let's keep in touch. Roland, you stay here and keep Octavio company for a while."
Roland nodded and said, "Don't worry, Zoey."
After I left, I drove towards Serene Manor.
On the way, my phone suddenly rang. It was Russell calling.
"Are you home?" his voice came through the receiver.
My voice carried a hint of joy as I replied, "I'm on my way back. When will you be back?"
"About forty minutes."
I estimated in my mind that it would take me about twenty minutes to get home, and another twenty minutes to deal with the surveillance issues. The time should be sufficient.
So I said, "Alright, I'll wait for you at home. Did you drink? I can cook something for you."
