Chapter 40

1817 Words
I woke up by the alarm ringing besides me and I opened my eyes to see my computer still turned on. I forgot to turn it off, because of how sleepy I am, after playing that game. It was total blast and I the fun of my life, but I must control myself. I got up and I went straight to the bathroom and I took a shower and I brushed my teeth. After that I wore my chosen clothes for the day which is just a black plain t-shirt and a jean, I fixed my hair do and I’m ready for the day. I grabbed my phone on my bed and cleaned my room before leaving. The alarm snoozed again and I turned it off since I am already awake and I don’t really need its noise anymore to wake me up. I unlocked my phone and I saw that I already received multiple messages from Kuro and John. This is the day, where we will start our training to prepare ourselves for upcoming big fight. It’s sad that I don’t get to play more with my computer, sad life. I opened Kuro’s messages. “Sent 6:32 am from Kuro Heyy bruh! Meet us down stairs” “Sent 6:35 am from Kuro Oh and John iss here with me too.” “Sent 6:42 am from Kuro Why are you taking so long to reply?” it’s only been 10 minutes that I didn’t reply to his messages, such an impatient guy. “Sent 6:54 am from Kuro Are you still asleep? If yes we will be barging inside your room and we ourselves will be the one to wake you up >:(!!!” geez, this guy. I checked the time and it is 7:12 am. I am surprised on how time flies by fast and I quickly hit the reply button and those two punks must be on their way here. I know Kuro, if he says so, he will literally do it. I heard a loud bang on the door. It’s too late. Those two are already here, starting to ruin my day. I have a pleasant start of the day and this is how fast it will be ruined. “HEY SLEEPY BOI!” he shouted outside without any shame. Ohh, I have an idea, I need to get the perfect timing to exact my revenge on him. I ran towards the door and I am thankful that this door is made of sturdy materials. I grabbed on the door knob and there I felt how hard he is pushing the door. I waited for another bang and calculated how long is the delay. After getting the information that I needed to do this perfectly, the third bang happened. “STILL NOT AWAKE SLEEPY BOI?!” he shouted again and I hold my laughter because it is making me laugh just to think about it. I will save it for later if this actually happened. I can’t imagine the looks on his face. Oh, this will be an absolute bummer for him. I turned the door knob at the right time possible in my calculations. There I saw Kuro dove immediately on the floor and I saw him roll on the floor. This is the right time to burst out of laughter and I had the laugh of my life. John laughed with me, and we are laughing very hard right now. Kuro lifted his head up and looked at us both. I just shrugged my shoulders, telling him that it was his fault for doing that. “What was that for?” he asked me in disbelief and I should be the one asking him that. “You asked for it,” I answered him and he stood up clearing the dust on his shirt. “That was a good one!” John remarked while he starts to calm down on laughing. That was indeed a very good one. I wish I recorded it with my phone so I can replay this moment over and over again and let Kuro cringe the hell out of this situation and remind him of how foolish that act is. “Laugh all you want,” he said pissed off on what I did. That’s his calling. “We will,” I answered. I take back what I said earlier that my day is ruined, Kuro made it a lot better and that was a good start. After that joyous moment we went downstairs to access the underground gym, Nab’s territory, we asked helped to him so the next time that woman and I meet, we will be ready. This thing that I will be engaging is a suicide for me since I cannot avoid triggering my trauma when the time comes, in a real battle. So I need to overcome it as soon as possible, The path that I will be taking is no at easy one and I am well aware of it. “What Martial arts lesson will you be taking?” John asked me. “I don’t know,” I answered him immediately, that question was very timely as I am just thinking about the path that I will be pursuing. I don’t know what style suits my body very well. I guess I will find out once we reach the place. “What about you?” I turned to him and asked him the same question. “Hmm let me see, I know plenty about chinese and japanese martial arts already, so to amp up my battle style, I’ll be taking Muay Thai,” he answered my question and I know that. It’s a kick boxing from Thailand that includes kicking, punching, and grappling, it’s a deadly technique when used in death match. No wonder why John took interest in that. “What about you?” I asked Kuro whop is still upset about the prank that I pulled off to him earlier, he did not expect that. “Tae-kwon-doo,” he said cheaply and he just went on as quite as he could. I don’t know if I will feel sorry for him or laugh at him because how he is acting right now. Like a little child that got what he deserves. Knowing Kuro, he is good in brawl fights and he is more on strength of the punches than the techniques. Maybe he wants to try something new, like kicking hard. I don’t engage in close combat fight but I had plenty of training4 with a punching bag, and I built up my strength. The only thing that I lack is technique and knowledge about these things. I hope Nab will teach me on everything he knows. Overcoming my trauma is the main goal of this training. It’s just yesterday when the competition happened it felt like it happened for weeks, but in reality, that happened for only one day. “You must decide so Nab can know what you want to pursue,” John remarked. “I know,” I replied to him. I don’t really know about these things that’s why I am keeping my mouth shut as much as possible, so I can avoid to look like an expert wannabe like most of the people does. When they just learn a bit of information about one thing, they act like that they know it all about that matter. It’s cringing me out, I wish people stop that practice and act humbly. There is always someone better than us in other aspect and it is up to us to accept it and live with it. We reached the front of the elevator that will lead to the underground gym and we pressed the button that will open the doors. It took us a while before the elevator reached us and as soon the doors opened, we entered it and John pressed a button which will deliver us to the lowest section of this place. Nab’s place. After a few minutes of wait, we reached the ground floor and we step out of it, and unlike the first time that we got here, the place is so lively seeing so many men and some women training in front on each punching bags inside this place. The others are training their body through the equipment. Also, the highlights of this place are the rings and sparring matts that is filled with people right now battling each other with their own styles. “This sure is heaven,” Kuro said and I agree with him and it seems like that he moved on what happened earlier. Then that’s good. We saw Nab walking towards us and I felt a little nervous seeing him. He looks so intimidating and that fierce look in his eyes, as if he was ready to kill anytime is enough to send shivers all over my body and I am sure that these two guys beside me feels the same way. “Good morning young masters!” he greeted us with respect in his deep voice while doing the bow, that I cannot tell which one, all I can tell that this is used as a sign of respect, when the battle is starting. “Good morning,” we greeted him back and we did the same bow that he did earlier. So, we can show the same respect that she showed us, after that we look at each other for a moment and I my saliva is accumulating inside my mouth a gulped it. It may sound gross but this is how nervous I am right now. His stare is so intense as if it was like a freezing ray, slowly covering us with ice and the air conditioning inside this place only makes the situation worse. “Shall we start out training?” he asked and we looked at each other. “Yes,” we hesitantly said to him in unison. “Then what fighting style you wish to learn from me?” he asked us. “Muay Thai,” John answered first out of us three. “Tae-kwon-doo,” Kuro answered next and Nab looks at me and I don’t know what to say to him. I don’t want to answer him recklessly as this will complicate things in my life. I don’t want that. “I d- don’t know...” I said and I just looked down on the floor. “Don’t worry, I prepared something just for you,” Nab said.
