ch 6 Alpha Introductions

Nishi Nishi pressed herself deeper into the soft layers of blankets surrounding her, the pale white fabric draped over her body clinging lightly to her bruised and exhausted frame as though the warmth itself were trying to shield her from the overwhelming presence filling the enormous chamber. Her chest rose and fell unevenly as she struggled to steady her breathing, black eyes moving nervously between the four towering men surrounding the bed. Each of them radiated something powerful. Something that pressed invisibly against her senses like a silent storm gathering across the horizon. Power that felt vast enough to command entire territories. The air itself seemed heavier with them inside the room. Nishi had survived the rogues. She had survived the dark forest where blood and fear had filled the night. But this moment, sitting face to face with four powerful men whose presence carried the unmistakable aura of rulers, felt far more overwhelming than anything she had experienced before. Her heart pounded painfully in her chest. Her fingers tightened instinctively around the blankets. Adrian stepped forward. His Ice-blue eyes moved slowly across her carefully bandaged shoulder and ribs, studying the injuries she had suffered with quiet intensity. “You look confused. I know this is confusing. Let's start with our introduction.” Adrian finally said. Nishi nodded her head. “I am Adrian Volkov,” he said finally. His voice was low and precise, every syllable carrying the quiet weight of absolute authority. “Alpha King of the Volkov territory. You are safe here. That is all that matters for now.” The words settled heavily into the air between them. Nishi swallowed slowly. Her gaze remained fixed on him, uncertain whether she should speak or remain silent. Adrian continued observing her carefully. He noticed the subtle way her shoulders curved inward as though she were trying to make herself smaller beneath their attention. He noticed the tension in her fingers where they clutched the blankets tightly. He noticed the faint tremble in her breathing. Yet beneath the fear and exhaustion, something else lingered. “It's my turn, Adrian.” Behind him another figure shifted. Adrian nodded and gave him a way to stand in front of bed. The second Alpha King stepped forward slowly, his golden brown eyes glowing faintly with restrained intensity that made Nishi’s pulse quicken again. Heat seemed to radiate from him even across the distance separating them. Nishi felt the instinctive part of her mind reacting before she could stop it. Darius took one measured step closer to the bed. “I am Darius Knight,” he said. His voice was firm and low, yet beneath the calm words a deep growl vibrated faintly through his tone. “Alpha King of the Knight territory. We… none of us expected this. You will be our mate… But still the bond is undeniable.” As he spoke, his golden brown gaze flicked briefly toward the other three Alpha Kings. The glance carried silent disbelief. None of them had expected to find a mate tonight. And certainly not one shared between them. “You will not be harmed while we are here.” The quiet promise lingered heavily in the room. Nishi felt relief for some time. She did not know whether to trust him. But still she nodded her head. Yet something in her instincts told her he meant every word. A third presence moved quietly to the foot of the bed from the other side of the bed. Nishi turned her face to him. Compared to Adrian’s calm command and Darius’s burning intensity, Lucian’s presence felt quieter but no less powerful. His movements were smooth and controlled, his deep blue eyes sharp with intelligence as they studied her carefully. He did not rush to speak. Instead he observed. The tension in her posture. The way her breathing shifted whenever one of them stepped closer. Every detail seemed to interest him. “Myself Lucian Vale,” he said softly after a moment. “Alpha King of the Vale territory. This is… Our bond was unexpected. And yet it is clear like water. I'm very interested in getting to know you. But right now you need rest.” His voice carried a smooth authority that made the words feel almost effortless. “Extraordinary circumstances… and you are an extraordinary mate. Truly amazing. Nice to meet you, dear.” Lucian smiles gently. Nishi felt warmth rush briefly into her face beneath the intensity of his gaze. The final Alpha King shifted near the doorway. Unlike the others, he had remained leaning casually against the doorframe as though he were observing the entire situation from a distance. But even from across the room his presence was impossible to ignore. Messy dark hair fell loosely across his forehead while his deep green eyes gleamed with restless energy. There was something unpredictable about him. Something wild. When he finally pushed himself away from the doorframe and stepped forward, the faint scrape of his boots against the polished floor echoed softly through the quiet chamber. “Ryder Blackthorn,” he said. His voice carried a teasing edge that contrasted sharply with the seriousness of the others. “Alpha King of the Blackthorn territory. My hands are already full, still my life just couldn't stay stable… It's got more interesting than any of us expected.” He flashed a quick cocky smirk. But his gaze flicked toward the other three Alpha Kings briefly. “Don’t worry, little beauty. We’ll figure this out. Eventually. Right, guys?” Ryder asked the other three. Silence filled the room again. The four rulers exchanged subtle glances with one another. “I'm not a person that shares things. But this is out of hand for me.” Darius frowled in displeasure. “Durian, this is not time. We can talk about this later.” Adrian stops him. “Whatever.” Darius struggles his shoulders helplessly. No words were spoken after that. Yet the tension between them carried an entire conversation. None of them had expected to share a mate. None of them fully understood what the bond meant yet. But each of them could feel it. That instinctive pull drawing them toward the trembling girl sitting in the bed. Nishi’s black eyes moved nervously between them again. ‘They all are ours.’ Her wolf whispered softly inside her mind. Adrian’s gaze returned to her. For the briefest moment his expression softened slightly. “Stay still. If you move too much it will hurt.” The command was simple. But it carried the unmistakable authority of a king accustomed to obedience. Darius’s brown gaze shifted toward her injured shoulder. “Why did she not heal?” He asked quietly. “Maybe because she uses her whole power to fight.” Lucian continued studying her carefully. “Funny… she doesn’t look like she can fight even with a fly.” Ryder’s crooked grin returned briefly. “I'm not weak!” Nishi snapped him in a weak, broken tone. All four of them take back. “So this is how you sound.” Ryder's eyes shine as he comments. “We all heard her voice for the first time.” Darius' chest rumbles as he says that. “And I can confirm that it's different from what I imagine." Lucian said softly. “We are not calling you weak. But your healing power is working slower. You need rest and we need time to think properly. Rest sure no one is going to force you to do anything.” Adrian said calmly. Nishi felt her heart pounding faster. Four Alpha Kings from powerful packs. Four mates she had never even seen before tonight. One thought ran in her mind wildly. They are powerful and she is a half-blood, weak girl. They could reject her. Just like Joshua did. Every Alpha or King needs a powerful mate. Not a weak one. Nishi knew this rule of the wolf. “Don't think too much. Rest well. We will meet you tomorrow morning. Gentlemen, let's go.” Adrian turned to the other three. “Ok.” Darius nodded. The four Alpha Kings shifted slightly around the bed. They did not say much, just exit from the chamber. Adrian turned to her last time. He pointed at the bell on the table. “If you need anything, use that bell to call the maid. Good night.” Adrian bowed little like a gentleman and walked out of the room closing the door behind. Nishi slowly exhaled. For the first time since the forest… since the rogues… since the violent awakening of her wolf. She allowed herself to relax slightly against the pillows. ‘You are not prey. They are not dangerous.’ Moon’s voice echoed gently within her mind. Nishi closed her eyes briefly. She still did not understand what her future would become. But one truth had already become impossible to ignore. Her life had changed forever. And the impossible bond tying her to four powerful Alpha Kings had only just begun.
