Libby would tell me that I was overthinking things as usual and proceed to make wild assumptions about why Sasha needed a gun. My chest tightened at the thought of Libby and how she wouldn’t even look at me anymore. Lying here and trying to fall asleep was never going to happen until I had worked things out with her. If I didn’t want to look like a cast member of The Walking Dead from lack of sleep, I had to talk to her now. Lifting myself out of bed, I stumbled to my door and tiptoed across the hall to Libby’s room. Pushing the door open slowly, I saw her sitting on the bed and reading the latest Harry Potter book. “Hey,” I said hesitantly from the doorway. “You got a minute?” “Better make it quick,” she said, placing her book down on the bed to face me with a stone still expression. “
