Their Voices continued-The Continuation!

Chapter 1 I woke up in an unfamiliar place and my vision hazy (where am I) I thought before I jolted up remembering what happened as a sharp pain ran through my entire body accompanied with an aching headache “owow” I said putting my hand to my head to feel bandages “what” I said looking at my right arm seeing it in a sling. Bandages covered parts of my body and an IV taped to my left arm. Confused I thought for a moment when I suddenly remembered falling down the stairs running away from the creepy man (wait what happened with the man who attacked me) I thought worried looking around frantically to see no one around it was quiet with no sound but the clicking of shoes as people passed the room. Suddenly the door opened and in came a doctor with a nurse “ah I see that you're finally awake” he smiled “um where am I” I asked as the nurse checked my IV “oh you're in a hospital” he stated while writing down my vitals “how’d I get here” I asked “you were rushed in by a young man” he said (a young Man! Who?) I thought to myself “ok Miss I'm going to ask you what you remember can you tell me” the nurse asked “oh well I'm not really fully sure right now I can only remember bits and pieces” I explained “that's alright it's normal for you to be a little foggy or disoriented so just tell us what you DO remember” “oh ok well Luke was walking me to my work at Daniels Dinner after my first job. Luke and I were talking, and we started racing each other to see who would get to the dinner first, and whoever lost had to buy the other food, but I ended up running into this guy. He was a lot older than me but anyways we fell to the ground so I got up almost immediately and as I helped him up I apologized like a dozen times then I walked back to Luke but something seemed off with him afterward because he was a bit quiet and spaced out but then he said something like well now you owe me food and I said something like it didn't count because I fell but then he laughed and said then let's go out to eat and he said he’d pay so I agreed and then I said bye see you tomorrow at school then he said it's a date before he walked off and I was blushing for some reason thinking is it really a date I mean who tells someone its a date if it isn't right! well anyways after I walked in I apologized for being late and Daniel my boss. She said it was ok since it was my first time. Then I went and got ready for work but the same man came into the restaurant saying all he wanted was a coke as he waited supposedly for a friend but that was for like two or three hours then after my shift was over I went to walk out and he was standing right there leaning against a pole and I mean I work a five hour shift and he was outside smoking until I was done so I called my mom who didn't pick up, then Sophie my best friend who probably didn't pick up because we were in an argument that same day. Then I didn't have Jack's number or Lukes number. My other friends and Malakie my brother didn't have my phone number yet and my dad was at work so I couldn't call him so I had to walk but when I got outside he was gone so I thought I might have just been thinking too much about it you see I'm not really us to people I've just recently been making friends but anyways I started walking home which was across town so I took my usual short cut but when I got halfway down the street the same man from before showed up leaning against the wall smoking. He got closer to me and I was about to pull my taser or pepper spray out but he grabbed my wrist before I could and I was just so scared that I started yelling let go but he covered my mouth so I pushed him making him fall back hurting him somehow so I took my chance and ran off but I wasn’t paying attention and I fell down these stars that lead to the trains or bussed and I couldn't move because it hurt to much to move then my vision kept going in and out as he showed up at the top of the stairs and said he didn't want me to be disabled right then but he could still have fun with me and he started reaching for me then this figure came running up and hit the creep in the face and they started fighting then lights out and that's all I remember until know” I said realizing I was shaking from the fear of what could have happened if someone hadn’t been their “okay only a few more questions now Miss just for precautions” the nurse said giving me a smile “ok I'll answer as many as I can” I said “what's you're name” she asked “Jasmine Knight” I replied “age” she asked “sixteen about to be seventeen” I explained “birthday” she asked “december 1st 2001” I laughed “ok only a few more I know it's boring but please hang in there” she apologized “no it's fun actually” I smiled “ok relatives” she asked “ok I live with my Dad his name is Peter Knight, Mommas is Elizabith Knight, and my big brother Malakie Knight then there's my aunt, uncle, and cousins but I don't get to see them much and I know Momma and Daddy are close to my grandmother but I don't see her oh and I have a friend I've known since I was born she's like family her names Sophie macarthur” I stated “ok phone number” she asked “mine or family” I asked “yours” she said “oh then that’d be seven, zero, six, nine, eight, seven, four, two, five, eight” I said rapidly “ok and we are done and I'll be back to check you're vitals again later” she said as she smiled standing up “thank you” I said smiling back as she closed the door and walked away with the doctor “so boring” I sighed before the door swung open with a big bang as it hit the wall and a group of people came rushing in the first people I see are Momma daddy and Malakie Momma and Daddy’s faces covered with worry Malakies face clear but you could tell he wanted to say something “oh my baby girl are you ok” Momma cried “I'm fine Momma I'm fine” I smiled “how are you fine we get a call from the hospital after we heard you're message at like twelve in the middle of the night to here you're in the hospital AGAIN I might add because of an accident that happened as you were coming home from work I mean what the hell is ok about that” Malakie said angrily as he glared (he has a point and I was scared still shaking actually but I don't want them to worry anymore than they already are) “are you sure you're ok sweetheart” Daddy asked “yes, yes I'm fine it's just a few bruises and a sling” I smiled reassuringly then three other faces came walking in my face stunned to see Sophie, Jack, and Luke all walk in “hey Jas how you doing” sophie asked softly “I'm fine I'm glad you're all here” I smiled I looked at Jack and Luke to see there faces were all messed up “what happened to y'all” I asked “oh um well” Jack stuttard not able to look me in the eyes I guess that's understandable after what happened but it still hurt “y'all gonna tell me I'm interested know” I laughed breaking the awkwardness. Luke kept quiet, not even looking at me. Sophie groaned and said “ok we know what happened to you because we were the ones who brought you here” Sophie explained “and why couldn't you have just said that instead of stalling” I asked “it's complicated” Jack said scratching his head nervously “than make it not complicated” I smiled looking to them for an explanation. Sophie sighed “ok fine after I found out, you called me at like ten, maybe eleven at night. I listened to your message it kinda freaked me out, so I called Jack” Sophie explained. Earlier. (Huh oh Jas finally called wonder what she needs I mean she hasn't said a word or even looked at me since what happened today) Sophie thought as she pressed voice mail before putting her phone to her ear to hear :hey Soph here leave a beep at the message I mean well you know what to do --BEEP--: :um hey Sophie I'm guessing you're still mad at me since you're not picking up. Well, this is the kind of time I need my best friend instead of a taser or pepper spray because I'm kinda stuck with a creep outside at work so…--BEEP--: the phone fell from Sophie's hands panic rose throughout her body. Sophie rushed to pick up her phone and called Jack: hello Jack speaking: :hey it's Sophie we have an emergency: :what happened: : I just got a call from Jas and her message said there's a creep at her work:: what do we do: :go help her of course: :where does she work: :well she works at Daniels dinner today so let's go there I'll meet you there: :ok see ya: :yea by: --BEEP-- “dang it Momma has my keys” Sophie said to herself before running downstairs and rushing outside grabbing her bike she speeds down the road (oh god I hope she's ok) Sophie thought worried. The next thing Sophie saw was a car zooming by rolling down the window Sophie saw Jack “Sophie we won't make it if you're on that get in” Jack stated as he pointed to the back of his car “yea” she agreed as she hurried into his Trans Am zooming down the street. He had finally turned the last turn and they saw someone running “Luke” Sophie said surprised Jack drove the car in front of him and got out walked over to Luke and punched him in the face causing Luke to go flying “what’d you do to her” Jack said angrily “what do you mean who are you talking about I didn't do anything” Luke said wiping the blood away from his face “JASMINE WHAT DID YOU DO TO JASMINE AND DON'T YOU LIE TO ME YOU traitor” Jack yelled grabbing Luke by the collar “Jasmine! I didn't do anything to her I came back over here because I had a bad feeling about that creepy guy we saw earlier” Luke said glaring at Jack “and you should really figure things out before you punch someone you i***t” Luke said as he pushed j******f his shirt collar and punched him in the face making Jack staggered back a few steps. Jack glared at Luke as he stood there “you good-for-nothing” Jack growled getting up swinging another punch the both of them swinging one punch after another at each other over and over “I said let go LET GO OF ME! LET GO” someone yelled “that's Jasmine” Sophie said. The boys finally halted, bolting towards wear, and they heard Jasmine scream. And there she was they saw Jasmine running toward the steps but not seeming to notice then --BAM-- she rolled down the steps. She lay on the ground at the bottom of the stairs, not moving much other than breathing. The man slowed down and started walking down the stairs laughing “aw man, I didn't want you to be disabled right now I wanted to have a little fun with you” he said before He bent down reaching for Jasmine “oh well I can still have a little fun” he said reaching “help me...someone help” Jack and Luke started running up to them. Jack jumped mid-air, punching the creep in the face, making him take a few steps back he touched his face to see blood, and he charged at Jack, starting a fight, and they began to throw pun While Luke ran to where Jasmine was at the bottom of the steps on the ground. She lifted her hand to see it bruised, bloody, and shaking then her arm fell to the ground and her eyes closed tears cutting off as they closed and the blood already surrounding her and it was getting bigger and bigger (she's losing too much blood) “Jack will you go ahead and finish that bastard and help me we need to get her to a hospital she's losing too much blood so quit playing around” Luke yelled “you he deserves to be tortured after what he did to her” Jack said with anger in his eyes “I know you like her but SHE’LL DIE IF WE DON'T HELP HER KNOW” Luke yelled at Jack. Jack clenched his fist and punched the creep one last time knocking him out in one shot and turned around and took his jacket off and wrapped her head to help the bleeding then carefully picked her up as Sophie ran over crying “I've called an ambulance” Sophie said “they won't make it I'll drive her” Jack declared “what but it's all the way across town” Sophie said “yea I know but I'll be faster than an ambulance that's still across town” Jack said as he put Jasmine in the car and ran to the other side “Jack please tell me that she won't die” Sophie said “she won't die I won't let her” Jack said as he drove off as fast as he could. Sophie fell to her knees, the fear finally taking over “what do I do? I can't believe someone would do this to her” Sophie cried. “Ugh” they heard the man groan in pain. Anger absorbing Sophie's body and mind turning to the man sorrow and furry swirling together, making her angrier and angrier. She stood up unsteadily and walked over to the man grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and yelled “WHY WHY HER” tears streamed down her face whether it be fear, fury, or sorrow they filled her body and soul the man just smiled. Sophie's anger finally took over and she broke immediately and without hesitation Sophie started punching him and beating him yelling at him “YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME SICK ALWAYS PICKING ON THE WEAK, SNEAKING IN THE SHADOWS JUST SO YOU CAN PICK ON A DEFENSELESS PERSON YOU SHOULD JUST DIE! DISAPPEAR!” she yelled angrily. Worried luke walked over to Sophie and grabbed her but she wouldn't stop she kept on hitting the man finally Luke wrapped his arms around her and kept her from moving “Sophie I know you're angry but stop you’ll kill him” he said calmly as he struggled to keep her still “I DON'T CARE HE DESERVES TO DIE HE HURT HER JASMINE COULD DIE” Sophie yelled “I know, I know but this won't help her this will only hurt you and her he’ll get an even worse punishment ok so let's go to the hospital,” Luke said. Sophie let go of the unconscious man and said calmly “let me go Luke” slowly he let her go turning around Sophie picked up Jasmines bag and walked to her bike “let's go the cops are here anyways” she said blankly. “HELP SHE'S BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT MY FRIEND SHE NEEDS HELP” Jack yelled in the emergency entrance yelled “what happened” a doctor asked putting her on a stretcher rushing her to the ICU “she got hurt she won't wake up and she's bleeding” Jack said worried “how long has she been unconscious” the doctor asked “I don't know thirty, forty-five minutes I drove her here from downtown please can you help her” Jack asked worried “we don't know yet we need to get her to the ICU immediately” the doctor said as he went through the doors with Jasmine on the stretcher with three others. Stopped by a nurse, Jack couldn't go in the emergency room with her, and that made him even more worried. “JACK! Hows Jas is she ok” Sophie asked panicking as she came through the doors “I don't know they took her to the ICU and haven't come out yet” Jack explained “hello I'm Jasmine Nights mother where is she I was told she had been admitted” a woman's voice echoed. Jack and Sophie turned to see Mr. and Mrs. Knight with Malakie at the desk “Malakie” Sophie cried as she ran over to them “Sophie are y'all ok” Malakie asked worry on his face “I'm so sorry I couldn't do anything I promised you I'd take care of her but know she's hurt again I'm so sorry” Sophie cried as she fell into Malakies arms “no Sophie it's ok I'm sorry I wasn't there you did what you could and she’ll be ok I know it so don't beat yourself up ok” Malakie said trying to reassure Sophie as he hugged her tightly “excuse me Jasmine Knights family” a doctor asked everyone turned towards the doctor wanting information “where her parents” Daddy said as they stepped forward “ok well your daughter has a severe concussion and a fractured arm many cuts and bruises and she does have a few ribs broken but she seems to be fine she has no memory loss or anything like that so she should be ok although I had some concerns that showed up during testing so may I speak with you in private” the doctor asked “there's no need all these people are her family so they will find out nonetheless” Momma declared “yes well in the test results there showed to be a complication or unfamiliarity we don't quit know what's exactly wrong but it seems that there is something in her body that seems to be taking her energy and stamina have you noticed her being even more tired than usual or any abnormalities” he asked. Momma and Daddy looked at each other in worry “no nothing she's always been a hyper kid a doctor even said she had hyperactivity” Daddy said “hm well she should take it easy because where it is it could possibly kill her” he explained (Jasmine could die) Jack thought horrified “and where is it” Momma asked “it's mainly in her heart but it showed signs of being in her brain as well know I don't know how they appeared or was caused but if she's not careful she will die from it because its technically draining her energy little by little” the doctor explained (kill her) Sophie thought “are we able to see her” Momma asked “yes she's in room two fourteen” he said pointing down the left hall “thank you” Momma and Daddy thanked walking towards her room worry on everyone's faces. Malakie is holding Sophie tighter fear of losing his little sister again, scaring him while Jack and Sophie are both horrified at the thought of losing her. “Oh” I said plainly “you ok Jas” Sophie asked “yeah why wouldn't I be I mean I'm confused by it all but I'm fine” I smiled “you sure sweetheart” Daddy asked “yea but I do want to get out of here can someone find out when that is I mean I'm completely fine” I smiled “sure honey” Momma said pulling Daddy along “hey shouldn’t y'all be getting ready for school” I asked suspiciously “well I'm skipping” Luke said plainly “I figured you where you always do” I laughed “yea” he smiled “well I'm taking a sick day” Jack said “for real that's called skipping” I laughed again “well all I did was call the principle, told him what happened and he excused me” Sophie explained “ok well that's more like you Sophie but y'all are technically skipping so you could have just said that” I said summing it up “yea if you want to go technical” Jack laughed “yeah well I'll be back” I said as I started to get out of bed “where you going you can't get out of bed” Sophie said pushing me back in bed “but I'm hungry and this place’s food sucks almost as bad as these clothes” I wyned “then let us get you something to eat” Jack offered “yea let us ok” Sophie smiled “fine not like I have a choice anyways” I sighed “yeah you don't so you want me to go get you some actual clothes from home then” Malakie offered “sure beets this crap” I laughed “ok then me and Jack will go get food and you and Luke can go get her clothes and stuff” Sophie said strategically “works with me” Luke said “as long as I'm not with Luke I'm fine” Jack said glaring at Luke with him returning it “if Sophie says so I'm fine with it” Malakie smiled “then where off oh wait shouldn't someone stay with you Jas” Sophie asked “no Momma and Daddy will be back in a few anyways plus I'll be fine” I smiled “ok” Sophie said unsure as she closed the door. As soon as they closed the door I fell back and laid down thinking (so I'm dying hm some way to die but what were they talking about I mean the doctors last time didn't see anything wrong with me the last time I was in the hospital so I wonder what caused it) I thought sighing “ugh this is so frustrating,” I growled (I don't really want to die I mean I'm not ready) I thought putting my hand to my heart hearing it beat. Hearing my heartbeat steadily it made me feel a little better (how long do I have I mean there's still so much I need to do I mean I haven't done anything really) I sighed (I feel like crying know great) I thought clenching my shirt wear my heart was rolling over to my side and closed my eyes. He walked in to see Jasmine roll over on her side, clutching the shirt at her chest and a tear-stained face. He walked over to her side and brushed a finger over her cheek to wipe a tear away “hmm Jack” Jasmine sterd as she sat up slowly, “what are you doing here I thought you went with Sophie” she asked rubbing her eyes “I did but I came back earlier than her because she went to help Malakie because Luke went home” he explained “really well that's cool I guess” she said seeming tired with her eyes looking a bit red and puffy (I bet she was crying for a while) he thought saddened. There was an awkward silence hovering in the air “hey I'm I'm sorry about before I shouldn't have said what I did I don't have the place I mean we've only been friends for about a month know” he said breaking the silence with his head lowered and his voice nervous “it's fine I shouldn't have said what I did either” I smiled laying my hand on his shoulder “so I'm guessing you know about my family all of the sudden coming back to life” I said “yea Sophie told me sorry I needed an explanation and it helped clear up a lot of stuff” Jack explained “like what” she asked “oh well the other day there was this purple glittery looking thing that came and blew through the town I'm guessing including my family but the funny thing is it stopped at me and said something” Jack explained (Samael did) “what’d it say” she asked “it said ‘watch over her since I can't and if you hurt her I'll kill you and make it to where you can't ever see her again I'll be watching’ and I quote” Jack laughed nervously “oh well” she said nervously “well either way sorry I didn't wait and Sophie ended up telling me and because I didn't tell you sooner” Jack apologized “nah it's fine I was going to tell you but I didn't get the chance to because of what happened yesterday” I said disappointed “yea sorry bout that to” Jack apologized again “no it's fine but I so have a question” I said “go ahead and ask” Jack insisted “why were you so mad” I asked “oh well I um” Jack stuttered nervously “I actually wanted to ask you to the dance” he murmured blushing “you did” I asked surprised “yeah but that d**k head asked you first I was actually going to ask you that day when you where on the ruff sophie showed me where you where but when we got there you were singing and I like hearing you sing so we waited..” “♪Feeling of being watched.♪ Strange shadows in the dark.♪Some familiar sounds are all around.♪In every room, I don't know what to do.♪Someone's haunting me, and I feel them watching me.♪Chills are climbing...up my spine.♪Sounds are crying.♪I feel like I'm dying.♪Why do I feel like this?♪” “and there she is. Like always. She usually does this when she's upset or thinking. So if you need to find her she's likely up here” Sophie advised “good to know” Jack said dazed “well let's go Jack” Sophie pointed “no wait” Jack whispered grabbing Sophie's hand before she walked out “What! Don't you want to talk to her” Sophie asked confused “yea I do but hold on I want to here he finish” he said blushing “oh ok” she whispered as she sat down smiling on the step “♪I feel so…haunted.♪ ♪Bone-chilling sounds of someone screaming my name.♪Is it you.♪The one that's haunting me.♪Is this a dream or a reality.♪I can hear your voice inside at night.♪But I don't see you in sight.♪I can see your name, though no one writes it.♪Why do I feel so...haunted? I can see you in my dreams, in my head, by my side.♪I can see you in the darkness.
