LEVIATHAN'S POV
Cassandra's laugh boomed across her room like a raging storm.
“Levi that woman dealt with you without even opening her mouth. I could see the fear in your eyes, it was as though you were going to faint” She said, her tone laced with mockery that it sent shivers down my spine.
“Cassandra please do not add salt to my wounds” I beseeched her, as I gaggled down a glass of red wine.
My blood boiling with rage as I recall everything. How defenceless I felt when Porsha pointed that arrow at my head, and how she deployed it in the guise of killing a snake.
Yes indeed she killed it but she equally injured my ego in the process and there will be consequences.
“But I am not doing anything your highness. Queen Porsha had inflicted not just salt but pepper to your wounds with her little act of trying to save your life. I mean she deliberately broke your law but ensured that you couldn't punish her since she did it for your sake” Cassandra commented, an amused smile engraved on her face as she took a seat opposite to mine.
“Whose sake? I would rather have been bitten by that snake that to have to be grateful to Porsha” I explained, my voice trembling with rage.
“Well spoken Levi. You don't have to be grateful to that woman. Besides it wasn't her responsibility to save you. it's was just a ruse so she become someone in your eyes” Once more Cassandra informed, plaguing my interest. “Come to think of it Levi, don't you find it suspicious that since we have been having parties in the party room, not once have we seen a snake till date. Then suddenly your new queen appears and the snakes begin appearing”
“What are you trying to say Cassandra, that Porsha planted the snake there just to taunt me?" I doubted with a raised brow, my eyes fixated on her confident face.
“Absolutely not Levi, those are your words not mine. I was simply stating the obvious. Think about it Levi, she did not only disrespect you last night but she slapped you. She came late to the event wearing a dress in the color that your hate, not to mention all the hurtful things she said about you...” Cassandra said but I impatiently interrupted.
“What did Porsha say about me?" I doubted, my eyes peeled on her face. I needed to know exactly what those two women have been discussing behind my back.
“Nothing much, she only begged me to make you stay away from her and even promised to kiss my feet if I granted her request” Cassandra said nonchalantly, taking a drag from her pipe. Her face laced with laughter.
I clenched my jawbone my body trembling underneath her vile words.
“Do you mean what you just said?" I doubted through gritting teeth as I clenched the glass in my hand tightly.
“Absolutely Levi, that woman totally hates you with everything in her. That's why I find it difficult to believe that she wanted to save you from that snake. Just imagine she was willing to submit to me, kissing my feet, even my servants don't go that low" Cassandra said, her tone hinting at mockery.
In that moment my anger boiled over.
I rose to my feet, shooting the glass across the room.
“Who does that Porsha think she is? She is just another merchandise I bought and I will make sure I put her well she belongs” I yelled, taking to my feet, my legs shaking from the excessive alcohol in my system.
Cassandra didn't dare try to stop me, instead she just smiled at me and said, “Good luck with that. Oh do me a favor will you, tell my servants to come back in, I need a massage"
I don't respond the only thing that truly bothered me in that moment was Porsha, she was the only thought that ran through my mind.
Tonight I was going to show how much I sincerely hated her.
