"Tada!..."Jennifer hit her playfully. She could see she was deep in thoughts again.

"What's going on again?. I thought you should be excited about our increase in pay."

"I am..but I am faced with a dilemma now."

"What's that about?."

"A guy came when you weren't around and left this card with me. He needs someone to act as his friend's fiancee for just tonight and the pay is 60 million."

Jennifer gaped at the card she held. Could this be...

"Then what are you thinking about?. Marietta,it's just for tonight!. It's not as if he is sleeping with you or is he?. And the pay is 60 million??. You had better get home and call him that you've accepted already.

You just don't know how many ladies would be dying to get this rare opportunity."

Marietta rolled her eyes nonchalantly."Well,I am not those ladies and besides,you don't expect me to accept so easily like that.

I got to think about this first."

"Alright the Great Thinker. I have heard you. If you aren't interested,I am." She brought out her phone.

"And what do you think you are doing?."

"Is the job only made for you?. You can stop me if you can." She laughed and ran off.

"Jenny!..Jenny!"She yelled as she chased after her.

Letting out a deep sigh, Marietta dropped her bag on the couch and walked into the kitchen to grab a cup of water but there was her brother on the floor,groaning in pain.

She rushed to him."Ramsey,what's wrong?. Why are you sweating this way?. What's going on?." She asked. Her voice was shaking already.

"I am fine Big Sis. I just need to rest." He managed to speak but coughed out terribly after that. He could feel his strength leaving him. Why did she have to come now?

"You are not fine. You weren't like this when I left home this morning. Where are your medications?. Did you use them?."

He looked up at her. "No because I am tired of being on medications. I am tired of watching you work tirelessly just to ensure I am on them. I am tired of being a burden to you. Isn't it better if I just die,huh?."

Marietta held him by his shoulders. Her heart was piercing hard at his words. She knew how hard it was for him but what more could she do?.

"Ramsey,you had better get it all together. You won't die and I won't permit it. You are the only one I have apart from mum and dad so don't ever think of leaving me, alright?."

Ramsey puts his head low as his body shook in pain. She could hear his sobs."I am sorry for saying that Big Sis. I...I..just..."

She embraced him tightly as she finally broke down in tears."I understand you. Just ..just give me a little more time,okay?. Everything will be fine soon. Just don't leave me please.

Don't."

Loud sobs could be heard from the kitchen.

Finally getting to sleep,she tucked him in and picked up her phone. She hoped she was making the right decision.

She dialed the number from the card and a voice could be heard at the other end.

📞Good evening Sir. This is Marietta from ...

📞Yeah I remember. You've thought about it,right?.

📞Yes. I am ready.

📞 Alright. Send me your address and a car would pick you up by 7pm. Don't forget...7pm

📞 Noted.

📞 Aren't you curious about who you want to meet with?.

Should she be curious?. She just wanted this done as soon as she can.

📞I am but...it's already few hours away. So no rush about that. See you then.

The conversation ended and Marietta sat. Her eyes glued on her brother. She had to do this.

She just had to.

7PM...

Marietta gulped in the stuffed air in her throat. Why does she seem so nervous about this? And the dress sent to her by him wasn't even helping her nerves at all.

She could hear footsteps behind her now.

"Big Sis,don't tell me you have a fashion competition to attend. You look... gorgeous!. Oh goodness. Even as your brother,I can't take my eyes off you." He let out a chuckle.

Marietta let out a smile. She glanced at the mirror again. How did she get to style her wine coloured hair this way?. Thanks to nosy rabbit,Jenny. She had always been bullied in high school as to how her hair looked but she never just changed the color maybe because it was her favorite color though.

She was sure she didn't do much of a makeup. Just a little dab of sweet honey powder on her face and a little glistening wine lipstick,that was what she had applied. Why does it look so extreme?

"Big Sis,would you just get going now?. A car is waiting endlessly downstairs. Don't forget to tell me what I need to hear when you are back."

Marietta laughed."How am I to know what you need to hear?. Make sure you take good care of yourself. I will be back soon."

She gave him a quick hug and hurried downstairs.

"Alright...so here we are. Welcome to the Delsons Mansion. Just walk in and you will meet Delson at the gate."

Marietta clamped her hands shut. She need to get some air first."Who is Delson?."

"Ohh..pardon me. That's my friend. He is eagerly waiting for you. He might be a lot cranky but trust me,you won't forget this night so easily." He smiled

Marietta scoffed inwardly. Was that to settle her raging nerves or what?. She got down and walked into the mansion. She hoped to walk faster but her legs were giving her nervousness away badly.

📞Hey brother. She is walking towards the inner gate now. Make sure I get an extra pay on this... because she is so hot!.

📞Just put it in mind that this is only a prank and nothing else, alright?

📞We shall see about that.

📞 Are you threatening me?

He just hoped all these would end sooner.

Footsteps heard. Delson looked up to see a lady walking up to him nervously.

He heard a sound. Was that his heart pounding loudly.

"I guess you are the one I am to meet. I am Marietta Wales and you?."

"Marietta?." His heart pounded hard in a sudden and he fell on his knees.
