As I sat in the very comfortable satin chair, I couldn’t help but think if I’m not human just what am I? Almost as if he could read my mind, my father said “Raziel, you are one of a kind and there is no way to truly explain because you are the first hybrid of our kinds.”
“what are you talking about?” I inquired in disbelief.
My father said, “Son I am the forgotten God Dragonis and your mother is Eldritch lord Ikaris.”
“What does this mean for me?” I inquired?
With intense calmness he said, “That is your choice, you could be the one to lead into a new age or destroy us.” I wondered who was us? Without missing a beat dad said “you were born to lead the Dragons and the Eldritch lords.”
I sat in the chair silent and calmed myself enough to process what my father just told me. I am born immortal, what’s more I am more powerful than any being so far with unknown abilities. I needed teachers who knew of the most ancient arcane arts. Where would I start, who had such knowledge, most of all, where would I find these teachers. As I looked at my father I finally said “ I don’t even know what I am capable of, I need teachers who can help me control my powers as they grow.”
“Do you know anyone who has the knowledge to help me?” I asked.
He said in tears “I know of only one and you’ll have to leave home and everything you know even you mother and I.”
I had only one question “How long would I have to leave for?” I asked.
“ That even I can’t say Raziel, because it is as I said before its up to you.”
Then out of nowhere my mother screamed father and I rushed out to see what was going on and there stood the same figure I always saw in my dream wearing a gentlemen’s suit, olive skin, and eyes the color of fresh amber. He stared at my father completely ignoring me. Rude. “Raziel run!” my father yelled.
“I wouldn’t try that boy.” The unknown being said. I was staring at mom as she lay there as if this being had taken her entire life force.
“What have you done to my mother?!” “Also who the hell are you?!” I asked as rage boiled inside me like a volcano about to erupt.
“I see you haven’t taught him any manners Dragon Godking Dragonis.” “I am Lord Abbadon the leader of the Eldritch lords and I drained her of her life force as you were thinking earlier.” Then Abbadon said “You are an abomination…”
Before he could finish what he was saying I spoke in a language I didn’t know or understand and like a flood I unleashed a torrent of energy at the Eldritch lord and rushed to my mother’s side and the only thing I could think of was “I need to save my mother” then like a miracle she opened her eyes. The Eldritch Lord looked up with such shock and said
“Its been a long time since someone knocked me back, but mark my words you will live to regret this!” Like the wind as quickly as he’d come, he vanished without a trace.
My father looked at me with amazement and fear “How did you do that son?” he asked.
“It was like a voice telling me exactly what I needed to say and do.” I responded as I didn’t truly understand what just happened. “What are all these voices in my head?” “Also why do I feel so dizzy?” The voices were speaking in the language I just spoke. My father looked at me a as if to study me.
Then he calmly responded “You are coming into your power” he said. “As for the voices, they are the voices of the dragons guiding you, it’s a gift son one only you have.” He calmed himself and explained that it was so rare of a gift that only one dragonkin in every eight millennia had, also being so rare it had no name. “You’ll still need teachers however and your mother and I are to be you teachers.” My father said.
Then out of nowhere a flash of light shined over my mother and like a ghost in the night she vanished as the light did. My father and I stood there dumbfounded as to what just happened. What happened to my mother, where is my mother and who or what took her. I had no choice but to believe she is alive.
Something glowed on the floor where my mother stood, it said “If you ever wish to see her alive Dragonis bring me your son.” There was no way he’d would listen to that. Why would he? The next thing he said chilled me to the bone, “Son we need to go get your mother and by any means necessary even if that means bring your to… them.”
The next thing I knew I was running for my life as far away as possible. I didn’t care where I was going just had to get away because my father wanted to hand me over to the ones who took my mother and I wasn’t about to listen to tyrannical Eldritch lords. They all were about to learn just what this dragon Eldritch Godking was truly capable of and sure enough so was I.
