The cat is out of the bag
Nothing stays secret forever
-Jennifer R.H-
My name Avery-Rose Alexander though if you ask my best friend she would say traitor, liar, and all the endless synonyms they have for the word b***h these days.
By now you're probably wondering what did I do to deserve such names well, get your popcorn ready because this is soap opera worthy...
I thought this was going to be an awesome day. I woke up in a happy mood. I even got to school early, although I suspect this had more to do with the great angst the dispute with my boyfriend had caused me last night which disturbed my sleep you know what they say no rest for the wicked.
Enough with my lack of sleep let's get to the story.
Before we start I would like to give you a formal invitation to the mess that is my life. Make yourself at home Judgments are welcome (not like you weren't going to give them anyway so might as well do it openly.)
Now back to the high expectations I had for the day.
At first, everything seemed to be going well, Well as well as a Monday can go. I had History class the first period where we talk about the first world war. Don't you love starting your day hearing about leaders behaving like toddlers resulting in millions of deaths?
After history class, I had Economy, Art class after that, and Spanish before recess.
The group was eating and laughing when Shawn, my boyfriend, received a text message from an unknown number which changes his mood right away.
Judging on his facial expression I had a good guess on what this text was about but I told myself it was just the guilt talking. No one saw us right?
His angry eyes flicked from me to Michael confirming what I thought.
"s**t, here goes the rest of my senior year." I thought to myself.
The next thing I saw was Shawn throwing blows onto Michael as if he meant to smash him into the very earth until Valentina threw herself between them.
I stood there immobilized wondering why the ground was still intact and not swallowing me.
"How long have you two been lying to us?" Shawn yelled ready to throw another punch but Chad came in and held him back.
"What's going on here?" Valentina asked in horror.
"Avery do you know what this is about?" She turned to me.
"Michael and I slept together," I answered holding my breath and waited for the worst.
I was waiting for a slap, yelling, or something but she stared at me with cold eyes and walked away.
I know what you're thinking I'm a bad friend and I deserve all the names thrown at me and Maybe you right but I never meant for that to happen. I never meant to hurt anyone but mistakes happen.
And before you judge me allow me to take you to the events that shaped this scandal during which two friends crossed a line that should've never been crossed.
