Ava's P.O.V

It had been another weird day today with Faiban and then Lana's warning against him although I don't know how or why but I could feel a dark aura surrounding him before anyone had made a statement about him, yet I didn't see him as a threat. Brett's words had caught me off guard as well, Cole had tried to cover his remark as over exaggerating but I could tell from his eyes he meant it. I stood talking with Cole for a while at the end of school, his dad makes him train too. I finally felt normal and accepted, at my old schools no one trained and I was always made to feel like a bit of an outcast, don't get me wrong I preferred it that way. I don't know what it was about Cole but I felt home like a part of me really wanted to stay with him forever and it was difficult to get away. The more time I spent with him the more I didn't want to go, but I knew my dad would be mad if I didn't get back to do my training.

“Is your offer still on for the weekend?” I asked him, his face lit up like a Christmas tree his eyes where glowing gold ever so slightly I loved that about him. “Yeah of course it is” he said still smiling at me “Okay I will ask my dad when I get home and I will let you know, do you want to give me your number and I'll message you?” I said to him and I didn't think his smile could get any bigger. He gave me his number and I was about to go when he kissed me softly on the cheek, it felt warm and tingly my face literally blushed red straight away. I got into my car and honked my horn when I was a bit away from him. Driving home I still felt the warmth from Cole's kiss and the butterfly's swarming in my stomach. I have never felt this way before about anyone it's so hard to describe especially because I have only known him for a few days. Yet it left me with the thought, if this is how a kiss on the cheek made me feel, how would a kiss on the lips leave me? a sudden shiver of pleasure slithered down my spine.

“Your late!” my dad's voice boomed when I got in the house, “I'm sorry I was talking to a friend and I lost track of time I will be seconds I promise” I say as I ran so fast to my room, I was on my way to the gym as I tripped and fell off the last step. My dad was by my side in seconds “Are you okay?” he asked me like I had never fallen before, “Yeah I just went a bit light headed I'm fine” I said reassuring him, “Okay let's get started then” we entered the gym and my dad started to throw knives as usual and I was doing well, until one skimmed the side of my arm “Are you sure your okay?” my dad asked and I actually didn't feel to well. I checked my arm that my dad had just skimmed but there was no cut on it “That's weird” I say looking at my arm, there was blood on it but no cut. My dad looked at me surprised “Okay training is over for today, go and have yourself a shower then come down for dinner” he said in an rushed panicking tone. I did as I was told because It got me out of training, maybe I have the flu and hallucinated him cutting me, or what if I'm turning into a super hero? something really didn't feel right. So many things where happening and being said that didn't make sense right now, I truly want to understand.

I finished my shower and put on some comfy clothes, I walked into the kitchen to my dad and the food smelt amazing like I could already taste every ingredient individually on my tongue, my mouth was watering. “Wow dad is that a new recipe it smells amazing” I said as I eyed up what he was cooking I then realised it was the same lasagne he had been making me for years. His eyes scrunched up with his nose like he was trying to figure something out in his head “Yeah I have just added a bit extra garlic and oregano” he replied and his face relaxed again. I don't know what's going on with me today but I feel so weird, I heard my mom's car and thought she must have been pulling up on the drive but I didn't see her headlights. Almost reading my mind my dad said “Your mom will be home in a minute” I wondered if he could hear her car too. I looked at him questionably “She gets home the same time every day” he looked at me intensely as he said this but then shrugged his shoulders, answering another question that I hadn't asked. After several minutes I see my mom's headlights I decided I was going to have my dinner and then go get myself into bed, maybe I am getting ill and imaging things.

I decided to quickly message Cole before I went to sleep “Hey I didn't feel too well when I got home so my training got cut short and I forgot to ask my dad about the weekend, I'm sorry I will ask him tomorrow love Ava x” A few minutes later my phone beeped “It's okay beautiful we still have two days before the weekend, how are you feeling now? Love Cole x” I couldn't help but smile he called me beautiful, and asked how I was feeling did he actually care about me? he had replied with a love and kiss back. I'm starting to feel for him and it's intense and no felt like just a friendship, I replied back “I'm okay now I'm going to have an early night, sleep off whatever has me feeling weird love Ava x” my phone beeped again “I'm here if you want to talk about it? Or if you want an early night I can leave you to rest love Cole x” my heart felt warmed by his words, he's so sweet “I just need sleep thank you though good night Cole see you at school love Ava x” his reply was “Good night beautiful sweet dreams xxx” I fell to sleep just after seven with a smile on my face.  

In the distance I saw a young beautiful woman with tanned skin, her hair long and dark I walked towards her and she smiled her eyes where pure gold. “Hello my child, I have been waiting for your visit” she said sweetly, she didn't look much older than me but she seemed so much wiser by the way she Spoke and held herself. “I'm sorry I don't believe we have met” I say to her but she didn't look disappointed instead she smiled “Sky will be along soon Ava” She said as if I was supposed to know who she meant. I had never heard of anyone called sky before. I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock, that was a strange dream I thought. Pushing myself up out of bed to get dressed for this mornings run.

Entering the kitchen my dad looked up to me “Ready?” he asked, I glared at him annoyance written all over my face “as I will ever be” I say back to him, a low laugh erupted from his stomach. We started running around the large house but I felt sluggish, the need for caffeine was strong, I was willing my legs to move but they felt like lead today, what is wrong with me? “Are you okay you seem tired still” my dad asked me “I don't know my legs feel heavier” I told him. I then felt a surge of energy through my body “run fast now” a voice in my head said, who's that? I looked at my dad though and smiled, he looked a bit confused. Then I started pumping my legs picking up my pace I was running faster than my dad, I wasn't breathless any more I felt like electricity was pushing through my body. I lapped my dad and he looked proud but confused, I stood in front of the back door as I finished my laps first “we won fast run” the voice sounded again, what is that it's not mine. My dad walked towards me “Where did all that energy of yours come from petal?” he asked me with glint of excitement in his eyes “I don't know I went from feeling sluggish to full of electricity, it was like my body tapped into my reserved energy, or like I got injected with caffeine and adrenaline” I said. He nodded his head in approval of my answer “Go take a shower and get ready for school, your mom's making breakfast” he said with a goofy grin sweeping over his face.

I ran up the stairs, yes ran! My body was still surging with energy and I had a good feeling about today, I grabbed a pair of ripped denim shorts and a green tank top. I rushed into the shower and enjoyed the warm water on my skin, everything seemed heightened today like every nerve in my skin was dancing to the energy waving through my body. I covered myself in a fluffy towel it felt so soft on my skin, I don't know what's going on but I am loving it. I quickly threw my hair into a messy bun, put on my clothes and I went to put on some make up but my skin looked different, I looked like a painted porcelain doll my eyes bright, my lashes longer and dark and my lips fuller and a tint of red to them.  

I soaked in my appearance, even my body looked different, my breasts were fuller, my stomach more defined, even my ass seemed to be perky this running must be doing me the world of good. I checked every inch of my body before leaving my room to head downstairs to the smell of bacon and eggs. The smell was unbelievable I felt ravenous, I sat at the table and on my place mat sat a huge breakfast. I started tucking in without even speaking to my parents, my appetite has never been small but today it was never ending. “Slow down Ava your going to choke” my mom said staring at me with concern washing over her face, but I couldn't stop shovelling it into my mouth.  

I picked up my juice and chugged it down in one gulp. My dad was looking at me in awe “What?” I asked him muffled with food still filling my mouth, “Your appetite is insatiable today Ava” he said and then chuckled at me. I wiped the food from around my face “Yeah I know I worked up an appetite on my morning run” I said before kissing my mom on her cheek, thanking her for the best breakfast I had ever eaten! I hugged my dad and said good bye to them both rushing out to my car for school.

I pulled on to the school car park, parked up and ran into the school, Lana was stood just inside. “Hey where you waiting for me?” I asked her, she scanned me from head to toe “You look different today how is that possible?” she asked me, eyeing me suspiciously “Honestly I have no idea I was doing my morning run with my dad and since then I feel like electricity is dancing around my body” I was jittering around as I said it and she laughed at me “Don't get me wrong it doesn't sound like a bad thing, plus you look incredible, I know a certain someone who isn't going to be able to keep his eyes off you today” she stated whilst smiling.  

I felt my face blush a bit, I put my head down and tucked my hair behind my ears, just then I felt a warmth coming from behind me it felt immense like someone had just pushed me into a sauna. My body's nerve endings where standing up individually. I turned around and saw Cole, he looked amazing today and I don't know why but I wanted to run my hands through his dark silky smooth hair. “Hey beautiful” he said looking at me, why did his voice sound different? It sounded deeper and husky, my body was in a trance for a moment “mate” a different voice called lowly. Lana clicked her fingers in front of my face and was laughing lightly at me. “Huh oh erm hey Cole, Come on Lana lets get to class” I said embarrassed, pulling Lana away with me. 

She was the closest thing I have ever had to a friend, she looked at me concerned before asking “What was that all about?” she squinted her eyes slightly as she said it like she was checking me for an answer, but I have no idea what that was about, “I erm I urgh oh god I don't know, it was like someone covered me in a heated blanket for a moment” I said to her I could feel my pulse quickening it was so weird. I avoided Cole all day even when he sat at our table at lunch I sat close to Lana and buried my head into my burger and fries. “Is everything okay with you today Ava?” Lana asked me, I could see a blue mist around her this was beyond odd. “Where did the blue mist come from?” I asked her and her eyes widened in shock “Ava I think you should go home you don't seem yourself at all” she said to me, I nodded my head and left the school. I was walking towards my car and I could feel something dark approaching me, I turned around and saw Faiban's big frame, he was looking at me with his grey eyes full of an emotion I have never seen. It scared me but I didn't show fear in my eyes, “what is your problem?” I yelled at him he smirked and quickened his pace he was enjoying me new appearance and I could see in his eyes that he was undressing me, I started to run to my car before I heard a deep growl. I ignored it getting in my car and driving off I checked my mirrors but there was no sign of Faiban.
