SECOND CHANCES
Jason and Crowe were sitting at a table outside a coffee shop having breakfast.
“So, it’s ready, huh?” said Jason.
“Yeah, it is. The last time I was involved with a deal this big, some competitors came and they almost killed me.”
“It attracts a lot of attention?”
“Yeah. A lot of merchandise, a lot of money – a lot of trouble. Even when the cops are not on it, the smugglers get greedy, they want more for less... It’s dangerous.”
“And now, that we are waiting for the other crime killers... ‘killers’?” emphasized Jason the word.
“I know.”
“So… Do you believe that guy? That he could or would do what we asked?”
“I think we’re gonna find out soon.”
“And how do we tell him that it’s ready? He said he would find us, and I don’t see him around.”
