My heart pounds as I sprint down the hallway, Phantom leading the way, a tight grip on my wrist. However, instead of leading us outside, Phantom turns us down the stairs, heading straight for the tunnels. Janitor is nowhere to be seen as we rush through the basement, spiking my anxiety. I don’t get a chance to fully think about it as we fly into the tunnels. Which are thankfully empty. Hope fills me but Phantom refuses to release my wrist as we continue forward. ‘Don’t get comfortable, darling,’ Phantom states darkly. ‘These tunnels will not remain barren for long.’ “What?” I manage to breathe out before noticing puffs of white escaping my mouth.
