Kaylee’s POV 

I found myself thinking about Ryan more and more. Thinking about how this thing started as an arrangement but now I’m falling for him. At times I feel like he’s going to shoot his shot at me but then he pulls away. I know he likes me and finds me attractive because I catch him looking at me for long periods of time or the obvious boners he gets after looking at my body. I guess he needs a little nudge to help him. Next time when he makes a move I won’t let him get away without telling me how he feels.

It was night time and I decided to go work out in the gym. I ran on the treadmill for awhile but it wasn’t the same as being outside so I stopped. I grabbed a jump rope and started to jump. I started doing tricks to pass the time. Jumping on one leg then switching legs. It was fun. I even started to crisscross the rope as I jumped. I wasn’t paying attention at all because the door open and closed without me breaking stride 

“ooh you do that nicely. Are you the jump rope champ or something” I heard coming from behind me

“ Nope but I can out-jump your ass” I said to Ryan as I continued to jump. “Is that a challenge miss lady”? He asked puffing out his chest “it sure is so come on let’s get to it”

He picked up the jump rope and started to jump next to me. He found his rhythm and even kept a similar pace as me 

“ you tired yet” he asked me barely sweating

“ no sir I’m just getting warmed up” I said as I puckered my lips at him

“ nope you can’t do that” 

“ do what?” 

“ you’re trying to distract me and stuff but I’m not falling for it.”

I giggled and thought of a way to throw him off balance

“Ooh it’s warm in here. Is the a/c working tonight ,” I asked, playfully. I saw him getting rattled a little bit but he kept jumping. 

“I’m serious. It’s sooo hot. I feel nothing but sweat running down my chest.” 

“Not working sweetheart”

“ Really? Maybe if I blow air down my top it will make it better”. 

I saw his eyes widen. Got him! I started blowing down my top and moaning a bit. “That’s nice,” I said. Then I did it again. Blow,moan and repeat. I knew he was about to mess up when I looked at him and with a simple wink. 

“s**t” he said as he broke his rhythm and dropped the jump rope.

 “Yesss all hail the champion” I shouted as I threw down the rope and flexed my muscles.

 “Yea yea whatever you had to cheat to win”.

 “You call it cheating and I call it creative strategizing,'' I said with a laugh. He rolled his eyes at me and I laughed more. “Well thanks for the workout. It feels nice to have someone” I said gazing at him. 

“I mean someone to .. work.. you know what I’m gonna just go” I hurried away to my room. When I got there I closed the door like I was being chased or something. I couldn’t believe I said that. I couldn’t believe I made myself look so vulnerable. He’s the Alpha. He doesn’t want some weak woman. He needs a strong woman to be his Luna, to be his mate. I started beating myself up then I decided to hop in the shower. The water gave me relief from the beating I was giving myself. True, the Alpha was strong but there’s strength in showing your vulnerable side to someone you care about. Does he feel the same way though, I asked myself. I cleared my mind and just let the water flow all over me. I turned off the water and grabbed my towel. I wrapped the giant towel around my body and walked in my room. I went through my nightstand looking for something to sleep in when it happened. He walked in

Ryan walked into my room, I wasn't expecting to see him standing there so it startled me a bit. He closed the door and looked at me.He had a look on his face that I couldn't read. Was it infatuation or was it something else..

 “Did you need something,” I asked him. 

He smirked and replied “yea, YOU”. 

His statement surprised me. I didn’t know what to say to that. I thought of comebacks but nothing sounded right. He just walked up to me and grabbed me by the face then whispered “no need to speak”. He kissed me. He kissed me like he had known me for a lifetime or two. He kissed me like I was his and he was mine. Warmth and lust started to run wild on the inside of me as he kissed me. My heart was beating out of my chest and suddenly he pulled away. “Umm I am so sorry I didn’t mean.. I’m going to see you in the morning “ he said leaving then I shouted ”Its ok to let your wall down”. He turned to see tears running from my eyes. 

“I know you care about me yet you pretend as if I mean nothing to you. Why?My heart can’t take it. Arranged or not I’m leaving. Maybe you’ll find whatever it is you’re looking for because obviously I’m not it” I said, snatching my bags out of the closet. 

“Kaylee it isn’t like that'' He said with sincerity in his tone 

“Then what is it Ryan?  

“You’re too good for me,ok? He blurted out. 

I looked at him puzzled. 

“I don’t feel good enough when I’m around you. You make me want to be better. A better Alpha but also a better person.” 

“ But you’re the Alpha. How can I make you better?” I asked

“You just do. You make me want to be kinder and stronger. You’re the best thing to happen to me” 

He took my hands in his. The shock of electricity ran through my body and I looked into his eyes. `

`You felt it too didn’t you” Ryan asked as I looked away. He turned my face to look at him.

 “I know you did”

I gave a nod to let him know that I felt it too. He again kissed me. But this time was different. Ryan slid his tongue in and out of my mouth while holding on to my waist with one hand and the other gently on my face. My body was on fire with want for him. He quickly took his hands and picked me up by the thighs causing me to wrap her legs around him. He carried me over to the bed and laid me down. He climbed on top of me and parted my legs open.

fine time to be in a bath towel,I thought. The towel was pushed up my thigh with the top of my breast peeking out. He took his fingers and playfully ran them along the top of my breast causing me to squirm underneath him from the sensation. He locked eyes with me as his fingers traced up and down my exposed skin. He found himself writing his name on my thighs with his fingers as my body started to shake. He slowly made his way between my legs. Warm and inviting I felt myself open my legs more to help his exploration.  His eyes widened with realization when his fingers entered my extra tight core. I’m a virgin

Ryan’s POV 

“Oh my! She’s a virgin! Am I pressuring her, I thought to myself. So many thoughts. I moved his hand from between her legs. She sat up and hugged on her towel 

“I’ve never done anything like this before. Am I doing something wrong?” She said, so innocently.  “ no no you didn’t do anything wrong “ I said trying to assure her. 

I took her hands in mine “I don’t want to hurt you or make you feel like you have to do anything. I just want you to be ok” I said smiling at her. She smiled back. “It’s fine. I want to. Just be gentle” she said. I raised my eyebrow in shock of her response.. I started to kiss her softly while pulling her close. I undid her towel and looked at her now fully naked body. She was gorgeous. I removed my shirt and we laid down. We began to kiss harder and aggressively. My wolf growling , lusting for the chance to be inside of her.  She ran her fingers all over my chest and I was ready.  A knock came to the door followed by it opening 

“Hey have you seen Ryan he isn’t anywhere to be found,” Evan said walking straight in 

“Evan what the f**k” I said mad as hell

 “aw man I’m sorry I didn’t know “. Evan kept his eyes on Kaylee and I felt nothing but rage. I ran over to him at super speed and lifted him off his feet. “ 

“Are your eyes broken or something you disrespectful little s**t?” 

“Naw they work just fine” he said with a devilish smile on his face. His words only fueled my rage further. I threw him to the ground and started to punch him with everything I had in me. Blood gushed from his nose and landed on my bare chest. I wanted to hurt him for looking at Kaylee like an object. I wanted him to know the consequences of disrespecting MY mate! I punched him over and over. Harder and with more anger. Kaylee threw on a robe and ran over to me.

“Ryan that’s your brother! you’re gonna kill him stop” she said pleading with me.

 “please!” 

I kept punching.

 “baby pleaseee” she said now crying. I looked over at my mate as tears ran down her face. In defending her honor I had hurt her. I got off of Evan and looked at him disgusted. With a mouth full of blood he smiled at me and walked out the room. Kaylee wiped the tears from her face and looked at me sadly. Her eyes still full of tears she spoke “why would you go so far as to bloody your brother.” 

“He had no business looking at you like that. He’s lucky I let him live after a stunt like that!” I said getting upset all over again. “Nobody disrespects my mate like that. You’re mine and nobody else’s!”

 Before I knew it I had confessed my feelings for Kaylee. I took a deep breath “it’s a lot we need to discuss but not now. Get some rest baby” I said as I kissed her forehead and left to my room to sleep.

Third Person POV

While Ryan was busy falling for Kaylee the pack was busy finding the answers their respected Alpha had demanded. It was like a needle in a haystack. Although he had been injured a wolf has the ability to heal extremely quickly so there would be no way he would still be hurt once he was found. Chase and the others asked around some other packs. Packs that both feared and respected them. Chase met someone at the territory line that had heard about the rogue

“I don’t know much,” the mystery man said.

“But what I do know is the rogue was sent to your estate purposely. You might want to take a look at the people within  your pack because there is clearly a weak link.”

“Thanks for your time”. Chase shook the man's hand and was on his way to tell Ryan the information. Chase was walking up to the front door and he noticed it open and a conversation coming from the side of the house. He slowly crept up sure to not be seen and saw Evan walking towards him.

“Chase where are you going?” Evan asked clearly startled.

“Just checking the perimeter.” He lied. What happened to your face?

Evan gave a fake smile and replied “ sibling quarrels nothing big”.

Chase nodded his head and Evan hurried inside.

“What’s going on” Tyler,the muscle” asked walking up

“Nothing man, something just doesn’t seem right,'' Chase said. 

“Need me to get to the bottom of it”, Tyler said cracking his knuckles.

 “When the time is right I’ll set you loose.Trust me. Now let me go in and tell Ryan what I've found out. You keep a lookout for anything out of the ordinary ”

Chase went upstairs to find Ryan sitting at his desk with his head in his hands.

“You good man?”

“yea I'm good whats up”

“well I talked to one of my contacts from the red moon pack and they told me that we have a weak link among us”

“I've never heard something so disrespectful in my life. that pack will be dealt with accordingly” Ryan said now on his feet and walking towards the door.

“No man. Think about it. How else do you explain a rogue coming into our territory without being detected. It was an inside job. We definitely have a weak link and we need to tend to it before someone gets hurt or even killed.

Chase’s words were harsh but honest. The Ice Moon Pack was feared by many and heavily protected so how could someone sneak onto the territory? Ryan took in what Chase said. If there was a traitor among the pack he damn sure would weed them out and make them regret the day they crossed him.
