A Run and An Ambush

The next morning Ryan went to Kaylee’s room to invite her on a run. He didn’t want it awkward after what happened the night before plus he had so much more to talk to her about. True they had an undeniable physical attraction to each other but he wanted more than that. He knocked on her door

“Come in”

“Good morning beautiful. Might I interest you in a run”

Kaylee was already up and ready to work out. “Sure I would love to,” she said tying her shoes. She was bent over and felt eyes on her. She glanced to see Ryan staring at her.

“yoo hoo eyes up here” she said startling him. she laughed and stood upright. 

“lets go before you get me in trouble” Ryan said pulling her arm

They made it outside and started to jog around the estate. They ran up a trail that led them past a beautiful lake. Ryan found himself enjoying this time alone with Kaylee. They would ask each other questions about their siblings, what they wanted in the future, just life in general. They had more things in common than they realized. They both just wanted a regular life. Relaxed and free of drama. As the oldest of their siblings they wanted to know that their siblings were ok and could live a good life of their own. They found themselves falling for each other the more they talked. Ryan knew he wanted to truly open up to Kaylee.

Kaylee’s POV

“I want to show you something”, he said to me. He stepped back and removed his shirt. All kind of erotic thoughts instantly popped in my head. He saw me looking. 

“no that’s not what I wanted to show you”. 

“yea I knew that” I said, giggling a little from embarrassment. 

 He took a deep breath in and started to growl. It was low and pretty tame at first and then he gave a deep growl that almost made me make a run for it. Before I could run he transformed. The once sexy Ryan was now a giant wolf!

I mean of course I knew he was a wolf and everything but I had never seen him in person. He was massive. You don’t become alpha from kissing babies and shaking hands that’s for damn sure. Although he was massive he was beautiful. His fur was a deep chocolate brown. He had height to him but not from being tall but it was a pride about him that made him that way.

“You’re incredible,” I said to him, truly astonished that he would show me this part of him. I found myself just smiling at him and then in the blink of an eye he knocked me to the ground.

 I groaned in pain and confusion to why he had done that to me. Then he jumped in front of me and started to growl aggressively. I still didn’t understand what the hell was happening but like a flash a wolf came out of nowhere and jumped on Ryan. The wolf was clawing and biting at Ryan like nothing I had ever seen. Like seriously animal planet is false f*****g advertisement cause this was crazy. I stood there not knowing if I should run away or stay with Ryan. I turned to run but another wolf came and blocked my path. It was the same wolf that tried to attack me before. . I knew it because he had a weird mark near his eye that you just couldn’t miss. He growled at me as if letting me know that this time he would finish what he started. 

I looked around quickly while steadying my footing. I saw a pole jammed into the ground so I grabbed it and pointed it at the wolf. He didn’t seem bothered by it at all because he lunged at me. I jammed the pole in him but he knocked me to the ground. He let out a painful growl and tried to run away. He didn’t get far because in the blink of an eye Ryan had the wolf by the neck and was swinging him like a chew toy. The wolf whined as if calling for death to stop the pain. Then all you heard was a loud ripping sound come from his body and like that Ryan had ripped his head clean off his body. He pounced on the head as to let the other wolf know he would meet the same demise. Like that the other wolf started to run away. Ryan howled loudly as if giving a signal of some sort and just as quickly as the wolf came he was gone.

Ryan changed back into his human form and ran to my side

 “Are you hurt?” He said touching me and looking for injuries.

 “I’m fine'' 

“You sure cause I can carry you back if you’re hurt”.

“I’m fine but I have to tell you something “

“What is it?”

“That was the wolf that attacked me yesterday” 

“Are you sure?” He asked looking over at the dead wolf carcass 

“I’m positive. He had a weird mark near his eye”

“Well he won’t be after you anymore” 

“Does this happen often?” I asked knocking dirt off my body

“What?”

“You know… wolf fights. Do they usually come to try to attack you” 

“Actually no. This has never happened before”.

I raised my eyebrow at him. 

 “Don’t get me wrong I fight other wolves often but never have they been so bold to come in my pack's territory and on my estate like this. Something is up and I’m going to find out what” he said with authority. 

“I’m so upset I couldn’t help more,” I said all timid and ashamed

“You did what you could and that’s more than enough”

“I wish I knew how to change into my wolf”

“ I can help you”

Ryan stood close to Me. “Close your eyes. Talk to your wolf. Tell her you need her help.”

“That sounds kind of weird. Me talking to myself”

“It’s not weird. Me and my wolf communicate daily we’re a packaged deal”

I closed my eyes and started to tap into my inner wolf. It felt weird at first but I told her that I’m incomplete without her and I needed her. Before I knew it I was transforming into my wolf . Ryan stood there excited to see me transform. My wolf is white as snow and a bit of a diva  She looked at Ryan and howled.

 He smiled and he transformed back into his wolf. There they stood together. His wolf looked over in excitement. My wolf flirtatiously panting at him. Then she took off in a sprint towards the woods, he followed. They chased each other through the woods. They ran so fast it seemed like trees were jumping out the way. The fun game of chase entertained them. We transformed back into our human forms. Our naked human forms. 

We snuck in through the back door and made our way quietly upstairs trying to avoid running into anyone. “It was nice. I’ll see you later” he said, pecking my lips and sliding into his room. I ran in my room and closed the door.
