Beyond The veil.

The town of Ravenswood lay shrouded in darkness, its residents huddled indoors as if fearful of the night itself. The streets were empty, save for the occasional flicker of a streetlight or the distant hum of a car driving by. A figure emerged from the shadows, its features obscured by a hood. The figure moved with purpose, its footsteps light and deliberate as it navigated the deserted streets. Suddenly, the figure stopped in front of an old, abandoned church. The building loomed before it, its windows like empty eyes staring back. The figure hesitated for a moment, then pushed open the creaky door and slipped inside. The darkness within seemed to swallow the figure whole, leaving behind only an unsettling feeling that something was watching from the shadows. And then, there was a whisper. A soft, raspy voice that seemed to come from all around, speaking a single, chilling word: "Ember." The darkness seemed to coalesce into a presence, a malevolent force that pulsed with an otherworldly energy. The whisper seemed to grow louder, more urgent, as if summoning something – or someone. But who, or what, was Ember? And what did this ominous presence want with them? To be continued……
