Luna: *I’m linking you to formally challenge you to an Alpha’s challenge, and don’t worry about how I’m able to do this just know that at least this time your invited.*
Alpha King Elijah: * Oh, how sweet the Princess Pup wants to challenge me the Alpha King*
Luna: *I do unless you’re afraid of this 18-year-old Princess Pup. Is that why you sent rogues and a man to kill me or attempt to at least.*
Alpha King Elijah: * (Growls) Fine! When? And Where?*
I look at Alpha Aiden and Pop
Luna: He excepts the challenge, but wants to know when and where?
Alpha Aiden: Here in Oregon.
King David-Pop: And in the mid-winter after the new year.
Alpha King Elijah: *Well I’m waiting.*
Luna: *Here in Oregon my land mid-winter after the new year.*
Alpha King Elijah: *Daniel just gave me an idea, how about the day after your 19th birthday. That will be my gift to you one more birthday at least this time I have an invitation.*
Luna: * Deal see you March 26th.*
Alpha King Elijah: *See you then goodbye, for now, Princess.*
I cringe at hearing Elijah call me Princess. I’m grateful to have more time to prepare myself though.
Luna: Ok, Elijah is giving me until the day after my 19th birthday.
My mom rolls her eyes
Evangeline: Oh, how generous of him.
Alpha Aiden: Trust me that is more than generous.
King David-Pop: Yes it is because now Luna has an additional ten months more to train and practice with her new abilities.
Damien: My Queen you will also need to find your Mate. He will make you stronger. You will need all the power you can get.
Beta Michael: Princess Luna doesn't have time to find a Mate, is there another way?
King David-Pop: Yes, the Coronation ball. That's when I officially step down and crown Luna as the Queen. When I do, she will receive all my power and then some since she will rule over all of North America, both wolves and Lycans.
Mom looks to Pop and asks
Evangeline: For when should we have the coronation?
King David-Pop: Knowing your mother dear, she will want it in the next month or two and we will have to invite the other Lycan Royals from Europe.
Evangeline: Ok, I’ll go talk with mom and see if rose and Jaime want to help plan the coronation.
Alpha Aiden: No need you know they’ll happily oblige.
Luna: yeah, it's a party.
Beta Michael: It's not just a party Princess, it’s a Royal party so they’re going to enjoy every second of planning it.
We all laugh because we know it's true.
Luna: OK guys Good night.
Mom, Pop, Alpha Aiden, and Damien all say good night except for Michael
Beta Michael: I will escort you home.
Luna: You don't have too, I got it from here.
Michael dramatically gasps and clutches his imaginary pearls. I can’t help but laugh despite everything that's happened today he manages to bring a smile to my face when everything looks gloomy.
Luna: Oh yeah, I forgot.
Michael walks me home like always, but this time this feels different, he is quiet as usual, but he looks as though he has something on his mind.
Luna: Hey Michael?
Beta Michael: Yeah Princess.
Luna: You ok? You seem out of it.
Michael stops directly in front of me and lets out a heavy sigh like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders and was finally taking a moment to let me in or see.
Beta Michael: Thank you for saving my life today. I wouldn't be here if you hadn’t…
I put my finger over his lips shushing him
Luna: Shhh it was nothing you’d do the same for me.
Beta Michael: That's because it’s my job, not yours, you could have died.
Michaels's eyes are filled with pain and vulnerability as he says this to me. A tear rolls down his cheek, and without thinking I wipe away his lone tear gently caressing his cheek. Seeing him like this hurts my heart. He grabs my hand and holds it to his chest.
Luna: I know, but I couldn’t bear the thought of losing you, I would be lost without you, you're my best friend.
Beta Michael: No, to be honest, if anything ever happened to you I can never forgive myself.
Michael still holding my hand tightly against his chest, looks into my eyes, and pulls me into one of his classic bear hugs.
Luna: Don't worry nothing is going to happen to me as long as I train, and I get a handle of my abilities not to mention the power transfer at the coronation I’ll be ok.
I feel Michael squeeze me tighter almost as if he’s afraid to let me go. I pull back slightly looking into his eyes. And I see he is struggling with something but, what?
Luna: I promise…
Michael leans in closer tilting my chin up so my eyes are connected with his. What I didn’t expect was for him to kiss me. This was my first kiss; I was so confused I didn't know what to do so I froze up in shock.

Michaels POV
I can’t believe she took those bullets for me she could’ve died. I’m supposed to protect her, and she could’ve died saving me. She has grown on me these last few months, I know she’s not my mate, but I feel like I have this bond with her, she feels right in my arms. I want her to mine, I need her to mine. Screw it I’m a take my chances and kiss her.

Luna’s POV
I pull away from Michael’s kiss
Luna: Uhm Michael
Beta Michael: I'm sorry I shouldn’t have done that. I’m such an i***t I just…
Luna: No it’s just I’m sorry, but I never looked at you that way. I mean I care for you just not in that way, you’re my best friend. Kind like the brother I never had but should’ve had.
Beta Michael: It’s ok I understand. I care about you too. I’m eternally grateful for you saving my life and I will always be indebted to you. And if I had a sister like you I’d be blessed.
Luna: listen you don't owe me anything just promise not to get all mushy the next time I save your life.
Beta Michael: (Laughs) Deal goodnight Princess Luna.
Luna: Good night Michael
I walk into my house thinking I can’t believe Michael was my first kiss even though technically I didn’t kiss him back.
