LUNA’S 18TH BIRTHDAY
On the morning of Luna’s 18th Birthday, Evangeline meets with Michael in the kitchen.
Evangeline: Good Morning Michael, would you mind taking the morning off? I just want to go on a morning run with Luna, it’s kind of our thing.
Beta Michael: I don't think that's wise your highness. You can go on your morning run, but I’ll have to follow behind you both to keep you safe.
Evangeline: Ok, fine only if you call me Evangeline and not your highness.
Beta Michael: Deal.
Evangeline knocks on Luna’s door
Evangeline: Hey sweetie are you ready for our morning run?
Luna: Yeah, I’ll be right there mom.
Luna’s POV
I finished getting ready and throwing on a royal blue sports bra with a matching pair of tights, and a black zip-up hoodie and head downstairs. My mom and I always went on a morning run especially on my birthday, it was like or own little tradition.
Alpha Aiden: Good Morning, and Happy Birthday Princess Luna.
Luna: Good Morning Alpha Aiden and Thank you.
Jamie: Good Morning Princess Luna and Happy Birthday.
Rose: Good Morning Princess Luna and Happy Birthday.
Luna: (Rolls eyes) Good Morning Luna Jaime and Rose Thank you.
Rose: I’m sorry Princess, but why do you seem annoyed?
Luna: Because everyone keeps calling me princess.
Rose: Ok, can I call you Lupin instead?
Luna: How about Lulu?
Rose: I like it.
Jaime: Me too from now on we will call you Lulu, but not everyone will call you that.
Luna: That’s fine only you both can call me Lulu.
Rose: Deal.
Luna: Ok, I’ll see you ladies tonight.
I walk over to my mom who is talking to Michael
Evangeline: Uhm, Michael is there any scenic routes we can run with Luna?
Beta Michael: Yeah, as a matter of fact, there is I’ll lead the way.
Evangeline: Thank you.
Luna: Good Morning, Mom, Michael.
Michael: Good Morning, and Happy Birthday Princess.
Evangeline: Good Morning and Happy Birthday. I hope you don't mind that Michael will be coming with us.
Luna: Thanks and I don't mind. Michael already explained that we are joined at the hip. He is going to be my unshakable guide and guard.
Beta Michael: (Smirks) Joined at the hip huh?
Luna: (Red with embarrassment) You know what I meant.
Evangeline: Come on you two.
We all go on our morning run, Michael leads us through the scenic route. We run down a path with the tallest trees I ever saw which leads us through a bridge that goes through a hollow tree then we run pass a beautiful waterfall.
Luna: I can’t believe I’ve lived in Oregon for 18 years and never saw any of these places.
Evangeline: Neither have I. This is now one of my favorite routes.
Beta Michael: Well princess you never had me show you this route till now
And it’s one of my favorite routes, so I’m glad to share it both you ladies. Consider this my gift to you.
Luna: Thank you, Michael, this is the best gift I can ever receive.
Evangeline: Yes, Thank you, Michael, this view is amazing.
We start to head back to the pack-house and have lunch before showering and getting ready for the party.
After my shower I decided to wear the red dress my mom picked up for me even though it's not my color of choice, I prefer blue, but my choices were either red or pink and I hate pink so red it is. I put on a little tinted lip balm and I put my hair in a messy bun. My mother chose t

Beta Michael: You ready Princess?
Luna: Yeah, I’ll be out in a sec
I put on some strappy gold tone shoes and walk out my room
Beta Michael: Wow, you look very beautiful Princess Luna.
Luna: (Blushing) Uhm, Thanks. Is everyone already downstairs?
Beta Michael: Yes, but we’re still waiting on a couple more people to arrive.
Luna: Oh ok,
Evangeline: Oh honey you look beautiful in the red one, I guess you still hate pink even though the pink one is more your style.
Luna: So does Nana, but we can’t help it.
Evangeline: I guess not.
As I came down the stairs I see the amazing job Jaime and Rose have done.
The tables are covered in white cloth and have lit candles with fairy lights hanging from the trees above.
Luna: Wow, this is amazing.
Jaime: I’m assuming you like it.
Rose: (Laughing) Judging by her statement, she sounds amazed, and she loves it.
Luna: Yes, I love it Thank you. You both did an amazing job.
Rose: You’re very welcome, it’s not every day you become 18.
Luna: Very true, I’m going to introduce myself and greet everyone.
I make my way through the crowds introducing myself and greeting others when a cute and curious boy comes up to me.
Daniel: Hi I’m Daniel, you must be Princess Luna.
Luna: Yes, Luna are you an Alpha’s son?
Daniel: No, I’m a Delta.
Luna: Oh, so you're a messenger, for which pack? and is your Alpha here?
Daniel: (Laughing) No, my Alpha isn’t here and also he wasn't invited.
Luna: Oh, I’m sorry, but this party was last minute and I wanted it to be small with nearby packs only.
Daniel: Well that's understandable I'm sure my Alpha will understand that.
Luna: I hope he does understand. I guess I’ll see you around then.
Daniel: Yes, you definitely will Princess.
I get an eerie feeling which causes me to worry.
Luna: Daniel what’s your Alphas name? So I can formally invite him next time I have a get-together.
Daniel: (Smiles) Well Princess my Alpha is the Alpha King. I’m surprised you don’t know the Alpha King Elijah.
Fuck my blood runs cold, but I keep my composure
Luna: Oh, well sorry that your Alpha is on the east coast. I don't know if you noticed, but this is the west coast.
Daniel: (Laughing) Yeah, I noticed don’t worry Princess I’ll let my Alpha know you didn’t intentionally not invite him.
Luna: Thank you, you do that.
I walk towards Alpha Aiden
Luna: Thank you Alpha Aiden for throwing this party for me everything is so beautiful.
Alpha Aiden: You’re more than welcome Princess and by the way, good Job handling yourself with the Alpha King Elijah’s Delta

A couple of hours later Mom, Nana, Jaime, and Rose come out holding a massive 4 layer birthday cake with white roses on a vine going up the side, singing happy birthday, Pop-pop comes up on the side of me pulling me into a hug everyone chimes in on the singing bringing me to tears happy tears of course.
Luna: (Laughing) Thank God I didn’t wear mascara.
Beta Michael: (Laughing) Make a wish Princess.
I close my eyes and think of a wish, and as soon as I can think of one I blew out the candles.
