Chapter 3

Ralph’s P.O.V

This girl is crazily beautiful and breath taking. I need to compose myself even if my heart is frantically beating like crazy. I cough to get myself back.

“Why are you here?” I asked. She looked at me confused and turned around like she is looking for something before looking at me again. Confusion is written on her face.

“Sir, ako po ba ang kausap mo?” She asked. I massaged my temples. Is she dumb?

“You’re the only person here, who do you think I am talking ‘to?” I asked. She looked at me awkwardly and scratch the back of her head.

“Baka po kako meron kayong kausap na iba na di ko nakikita?” My right eyebrow raised. Is this woman making a joke?

“I am asking you why are you still here? Didn’t you have an emergency that is why you left you work?” She looked shocked but then she turned gloomy suddenly. Dang! I hate this kind of vibes more on I don’t want to see a woman soo gloomy in front of me!

“Sabi niya po kasi na bumalik ako ng trabaho at hindi niya kailangan ng tulong ko,” she said. My eyebrows furrowed. Is there a man who doesn’t want to be cared by the person they love?

“Is your boyfriend stupid?” I asked. She looked at me then glared at me all of a sudden. I take one step back. Her glare is kind of scary at some point.

“Hindi siya tanga!” She’s looking at me angrily but then her mood shifted to gloomy state. Dang! This woman’s mood shifted too quickly that I can’t catch up! She’s moodier than Althea while she’s still pregnant. “Ayaw niya lang siguro ako magalala sa kaniya.”

“Are you really sure? Even I can say that you’re just convincing yourself that your boyfriend still cares for you,” I said. She scoffed at me and started to work again.

“He still cares for me that is why he’s still taking care of me!” She said and pouted. I crossed my arms. Wait, now that I am here, is she not going to fawn over me?

“You… Do you like me that you’re doing this to get my attention?” I asked. She looked at me quite shocked then glared at me.

“Sir, kahit kayo pa ang pinaka gwapo sa buong mundo, sa mga mata ko mas gwapo pa rin ho ang boyfriend ko! Atsaka, paano po ninyo nalaman na boyfriend ko ang emergency ko? Stalker ko po ba kayo?” Her once glare change into fear and walked a few steps away from me and crossed her arms around her chest like she was protecting herself from a molester.

“F*CK NO! NO WAY!” I ruffled my head and sighed. I was concerned but now I was dubbed as a molester by my own employee?! “I’m not a stalker! You poured a bucket of dirty water on me! You’re really lucky you’re not fired after doing it! At least, the old lady is kind enough to tell me your why you left like that immediately!” I said coldly. It seems that she calmed down and hang down her head after she listen.

“I’m sorry, Sir! Hindi ko po sinasadya!” She said and bowed. I waved my hand and let it pass.

“It doesn’t matter. I hope it will not happen again,” I said. She looked at me then now her eyes are twinkling like she is undeniably happy. Dang! My heart is beating frantically again! Damn it!

“Salamat po! Hulog po kayo ng langit!” She said with a wide smile. I looked away. I can still feel the heat on my face! F*ck! What is wrong with me? I didn’t even drink a coffee right now for me to palpitate! Maybe I shouldn’t drink a coffee right now.

“I’ll go ahead. You can leave after you’re done.” I turned around and walked towards my office. I think I need to get some water instead of coffee.

Jacky’s P.O.V

Tulala pa rin ako hanggang sa makapasok ako ng school kinabukasan. Hindi ko alam pero nasaktan talaga ako sa inasta ni Martin sa akin kagabi. Talaga bang wala na siyang pakielam sakin?

“Baklita! Anetch at bakit ganyan ang mukha mo? Parang nalugi ng sampung milyon?” Tanong ni Marian sakin. Napabuntong hininga ako.

“Sa tingin mo ba may pakielam pa sakin si Martin, Marian” Tanong ko sa kaibigan ko. Napatingin siya sakin at napataas ang isang kilay niya.

“Dae! Ikaw lang makakasagot niyan! Hanggang ngayon, di ko pa nakikilala ‘yang Martin mo at alam ko lang ay jowa mo ang gwapong ‘yon! Tae, una pinagnanasaan ko pa, di ko lang knows na jowabels mo pala siya!” Parang kinikilabutan na sabi ni Marian. Napailing na lang ako at napangiti.

“Wala, ganun talaga! Gwapo kasi siyang talaga,” sabi ko. Nakita ko ang pagirap niya sakin sabay sabunot ng buhok ko. Hindi naman gaano kasakit pero masakit pa rin.

“Bakit kasi ang haba ng hair mo?” Sabi niya.

“Aray! Mapanaket ka!” Angal ko at sabay tanggal ng pagkakahawak niya sa buhok ko. Binitawan naman niya at umupo sa tabi ko.

“Kung ako sayo, maghahanap ako ng bagong boylet! Kesa naman ang umasa dyan sa jowa mong parang bula!” Nakairap na sabi niya. Tinignan ko siya ng masama.

“Grabe ka naman! Busy lang talaga siya siguro,” sabi ko sa kaniya. Nakita ko ang pagbuntong hininga ni Marian.

“Jusme, Jacky! Really, love is blind!” Sabi niya at napailing na lang. I just smiled. Tumunog ang cellphone ko at nakita ko na pangalan ni Martin ang lumabas. Agad ko namang sagot.

“MARTIN!” React ko. Nakita ko ang reaksyon ni Marian ng marinig niya ang pagtawag ko.

“Uhm… Jacky! Ako ‘to si Maya!” Napabuntong hininga ako. Akala ko si Martin.

“Bakit Maya, napatawag ka?” Tanong ko. Narinig ko siyang napabuntong hininga.

“May mall tour na pinuntahan si Martin ngayon at kailangan niya ng pamalit ng damit, tapos na ba ang class mo? Baka pwede kitang pakiusapan na dalhan siya ng damit,” sabi ni Maya. Napatingin ako kay Marian na nakataas ang kilay na nakatingin sakin.

“Ah! Sige dadalhan ko siya ng kailangan niya,” sabi ko. Nakita ko ang pagikot ng mata ni Marian sakin. Agad din namang binaba ni Maya ang tawag. Napangiti na lang ako dahil makikita ko si Martin mamaya.

“Nako, huwag lang sana na umiyak ka sa ginagawa mong babaita ka!” sabi ni Marian. I pat his arm.

“Maging masaya ka na lang para sakin Marian!” Inirapan niya ako at seryosong tinignan.

“Ano pa nga ba?”

Ralph’s P.O.V

Damn! My focus is leaving me from time to time. My focus always drifting towards that woman?! Why am I so attracted to her? This is weird!

“Mr. Andino, Ms. Janine is here!” My secretary said. Janine? Who’s that? Damn! Now I don’t remember who I was supposed to meet today. Who is Janine?

“Who is Cheska?” I asked. My secretary looked at me and blinked a few times.

“Sir, she’s the daughter of your mother’s friend. You’re supposed to meet her at the mall a few hours earlier but you seemed so busy even though I already called you so many times.” I scratch my head. Now that he mentioned it, I remember having a date with the daughter of my mother’s friend. I’ll receive an earful of nagging from my mother the next time we meet. I stood up from my seat and walked towards the door.

“Richard, don’t tell my mom that I screw this up alright?” I asked. He nodded.

“Please rest assured that I will firmly shut my mouth,” he said. I nodded and went outside. I saw the woman who is sitting on the lounge sofa while looking at the painting on the wall near her. She’s one sophisticated lady. You can feel that she really someone who is well taken care of by her family. I walked towards her with my practiced smile, which Althea knows that it’s not even my real smile.

“Good afternoon, my Lady! I am sorry for not informing you about not coming to our meeting place.” She looked at me and smiled.

“It’s alright Mr. Andino. My mom told me that you’re quite busy on your business so I understand,” she said with a smile. This woman will definitely be going to make a ruckus the next time we met.

“Do you want to eat dinner with me?” I asked. She looked at me a little hesitant.

“But you’re busy, aren’t you?” I smiled. This girl, are you playing hard to get?

“I can still spare time with you,” I said. She nodded and smile.

“Okay.” She agreed. I reach out for her hand and helped her stand up. I saw a tint of pink on her cheeks. It’s easy for me to make a girl like her fall in love with me. We went to the car park to get my car and drove towards the mall where we were supposed to see each other. We just walked and looked at the items inside the department store. She went to the women’s clothes section and I went to the jewelry part of the store and look some references and inspiration. It's not that I want to copy someone else’s work. That is not my style. Not to brag but the jewelry I sell is top-notch in the world.

We ate and chatted together. She’s an easy woman to get and it won’t take long until I take her to my bed. We planned to watch a movie.

“What do you want to watch?” I asked and pulled my phone to reserved a seat for us when someone bumped to me. F*ck! Why does this always happen to me?

“Watch were you-“

“Oops! Sir! Sorry!” My eyes immediately darted towards the person in front of me. Her again?! She looked at me wide-eyed. She bowed her head. “Hindi ko po kayo nakita!”

I was thinking about her earlier, now that I see her It feels different. I sighed and looked at her and put my phone in my pocket.

“Why are you here, Ms. Domingo?” I asked. She’s a student in the day and a part-timer at night, does she even sleep? She looked at me and shyly smiled. I noticed a big bag she was carrying. I’m curious about what’s inside the bag. Damn! Why do I want to poke my nose in another person’s business? Much more, hers.

“Ahm! May pupuntahan po ako,” she said. My right eyebrow raised.

“With that big bag? It seemed heavy,” I said. She shook her head.

“It’s not that heavy, sir! Sige po, aalis na po ako!” She nodded towards me and the other side. She quickly picked the bag up and walked away. It seemed really heavy because she sways when she takes a step.

“It seemed you knew that person,” I heard someone talked beside me. I looked at the woman beside me and she’s smiling looking at me. “Why don’t you help her. Something came up and I need to go.” I pinched the bridge of my nose. Damn! Double damn! I almost forgot about her.

“I’m sorry! I will make up with you! I promise!” She shook her head.

“It’s fine. Let’s watch a movie next time we meet!” She said with a wide smile and pat my arm and walked away. I looked at her back and then looked at the direction where that girl went. And I still see her, having a hard time walking with the big bag she was carrying. I scratched my head and went in the girl's direction.

“I can’t believe you choose her over your date!” I muttered to myself.
