Chapter Seven Madison Southworth cleaned the shiny white counter at the pharmacy. The drugstore was not open for the day yet. She had arrived early. Mr. Ringer appreciated that. Madison was making atonement for leaving early on Friday for the appointment with her attorney. She hadn't heard anything from her attorney and entrusted that he would take care of everything. She was still very nervous, though. But she had done all she could to prepare for the hearing that was to be held on September 22nd. She had not been able to get in touch with Cogent.
