Chapter Twelve Madison donned the white lab coat and began organizing the pharmaceutical counter in preparation for the day ahead. Mr. Ringer had arrived early that morning and was dusting off some of the shelves in the front. “Does the man ever stop cleaning?” Madison whispered aloud to herself. “Good morning, Ms. Madison,” Mr. Ringer greeted her in his Louisiana drawl. “Good morning, Mr. Ringer,” Madison exchanged pleasantries with him. He was such a sweet little old man. If only he knew how evil she was, taking the pills from the pharmacy. She felt extremely guilty.
