Chapter Fourteen
Madison Southworth knew what was next. She dreaded the thought of it. Mr. Ringer stomped over to the pharmacy counter and placed his hands squarely over his hips. Madison knew what he was thinking from the look he gave her. Here it came.
“Madison, we need to go over that inventory sheet again in detail,” Mr. Ringer had taken the advice that Ralph Henry had given him seriously. He would review the report in detail and look for any discrepancies in the pill count.
“O.k., Mr. Ringer,” Madison complied in an unenthusiastic manner. She went over to the file cabinet and removed the most current inventory report that had been completed on Wednesday.
