Chapter Twenty-Five
Cogent checked into the office at the detective agency and went through his usual regime. He had planned to go over to Alton to work on the Lottie Johnson case for the majority of the day. The first order of business was to place a call to Gina Mae Cross. He pulled out her business card and dialed her number at the real estate agency office. The receptionist came on the line and directed the call to Gina Mae.
“Gina Mae, I need to talk to you about your aunt. I'm heading over to Alton pretty soon. How about if I stop by the agency and talk to you?” Cogent wanted to talk with her face to face. He didn't mind getting the chance to look at her again, either. He had been infatuated with her ever since he met her. She was a real looker!
