Chapter Twenty-Seven Madison Southworth sat at the kitchen table in her small apartment after she arrived home that evening. She put her head down into her clasped hands as her legs moved back and forth in repetitive motion underneath the table. It had been a long, nerve-wracking eight hours at the pharmacy throughout the day. She had felt a sense of relief on the way home. But now, her nerves were on edge once again as she prepared to call Cogent. She had to tell him about the little visit from Sheriff Lee.
