When Ani woke, she found herself in a hospital bed, she started to sit up when she heard the Hokage, “Rest, young lady.” Ani obeyed, laying back down. “Tenzo?” She asked. Lord Third chuckled, “He’s fine, and asking about you as well.” Ani lay there for a moment. “Danzo?” She asked, her voice shaking. Lord Third pulled a chair next to the bed to face her. “You won’t need to worry about Lord Danzo. You and Tenzo are under my direct protection. The two of you will train as Anbu under Captain Kakashi Hatake.” Ani was shocked. “The Copy Ninja?” Lord Third chuckled. “The very same. I dare say he’s happy to be working with his best friend after so long.” Ani smiled. “You need to relax. I’ve read the report on your abilities, you are a very talented young woman. We have not had a member of the Uzamaki Clan in our village since Kushina came to us.” With that, he got to his feet. “I’ll send Kakashi Hatake to collect you when you are released from the hospital. You may be adept at healing yourself physically, but the emotional damage done to you as well as Tenzo will take a little longer to heal.”

Ani was anxious to leave when Kakashi finally came to pick her up. “You ready to go?” He asked. Ani nodded. “Yes, Captain.” When they arrived at the Anbu headquarters, Kakashi stood by while she received her gear. Her mask was that of a squirrel. Ani looked at Kakashi. “Really.” Kakashi chuckled. “Hey, I’m just the Captain.” Kakashi led her to a room where she found other members of the Anbu. They were laughing and joking. It was so different from the Foundation. “Ani,” She tensed. “I’m sorry.” Ani turned around. Tenzo looked down sheepishly. “It’s alright, Tenzo.” When she hugged him, he blushed. The other members started whooping and hollering. “Enough,” Kakashi said sternly. They stopped. Kakashi gave Ani and Tenzo their living assignments. “If you two decide to, you know...” Ani and Tenzo looked at him and both blushed again. “Just know you’ll never hear the end of it. And as your Captain, your relationship is not to interfere with your duties. I have the authority to reassign you if it becomes necessary.” “Understood, Senpai.” Tenzo says bowing his head. “Ani?” “Understood, Captain.

Kakashi allowed Ani and Tenzo the rest of the day off to get settled in to their apartments. Ani was busy organizing her apartment, it was getting late and she realized she still needed to go grocery shopping. She grabbed her jacket and rushed out her door, only to run into Tenzo. He caught her as she lost her balance. Ani blushed when she noticed where Tenzo had chosen to grab her to keep her from falling. When Tenzo noticed, he became embarrassed and let go. They fell in a heap. “I’m sorry.” He stammered as he made sure to take her hand to help her to her feet. Ani blushed again. “It’s alright, Tenzo. I was just going to buy some groceries.” Tenzo looked at the floor. Then he looked up. “How about I treat you to dinner. Then we could we can both go grocery shopping?” Ani smiled. “That sounds good.” She took his hand and led him outside. Tenzo blushed, but again didn’t make a move to let go of her. Tenzo took her to the BBQ place in town. And over dinner, they laughed and talked. Reminiscing. It was so nice to be free to be with each other and not have to worry. After they had eaten, the two of them went to the grocery store and bought everything they needed. It was getting late by the time they got back to their apts. Ani stopped in front of her door. “Tenzo, thank you for dinner and helping with shopping.” Tenzo smiled. “You’re welcome.” He turned and started to walk away his hands still full of groceries. Ani dropped her groceries and kissed Tenzo with desperation and wanting. He dropped his groceries, then. He put her up against her door and wasted no time putting his hands up her gown, there would no interruptions this time. He heard giggling behind him then. An elderly woman had come in and was opening the door across from Ani’s. Tenzo groaned. “Don’t let me stop you, dears.” Ani blushed. “I’m going to go and put away my groceries.” Tenzo growls into her ear. Ani nodded and picked her own groceries. “Don’t be long.” She whispers back. “Time me.” He responds. He bowed to the older woman. “Excuse me, maam.” Ani blushed, bowed and went into her own apartment.

Five minutes. That’s how it long it took for Tenzo to come back. Ani didn’t even give him a chance to knock. When she opened the door, Tenzo picked her up, shut the door with his foot, and carried her to her room. Tenzo kissed her as he undressed. Ani slipped out of her gown. Tenzo eagerly unwrapped her bindings, setting her free once again. Going to each breast in turn. Kissing her soft breasts, breathing heavy from longing.
