Innocence Lost

Tenzo sat at a table surrounded by the boys of his squad, they had somehow managed to bake a cake and decorate it to celebrate his sixteenth birthday. “Make a wish.” Lin had told him. Tenzo closed his eyes and found his thoughts returning to Ani. When he blew out the candles, the boys cheered. Now that he was older, his thoughts toward Ani resulted in his body reacting in new and confusing ways. Lin had explained to him then about girls having an affect on boys their age. Tenzo blushed. “Hey,” Lin says, “Its part of growing up.” A few months later, all the students, both boys and girls were finally reunited. Girls were made to stand on one side of the room, boys on the other. Even then, Tenzo couldn’t help but notice Ani. Her bright red hair was unmistakable . When Ani noticed he was looking at her, she blushed. Uri elbowed her hard, glaring at her. Ani faced forward again. Danzo informed them that the boys and girls would still sleep separately, but they would be allowed to eat, study and spar together. Ani saw Danzo’s smirk. It sent a chill through her. As soon as they were dismissed. She sought Tenzo out. It had been so long since they had seen each other. Had he missed her. Danzo watched her go. “Sir.” “Leave them alone for now. I want to see how far they go.” “Yes sir.”

Ani found Tenzo next to the river working on his water jutsu. She blushed when she saw that he had taken off his shirt. She got as close as she dared and sat down to watch. She gasped when she saw him use wood justsu. He must of heard her, because he stopped and turned around. “Ani.” He says simply. “Tenzo.” She responded. She watched him put his shirt back on. He walked over and sat down next to her and pulled some rice balls out of his pouch and handed them to her. Ani blushed as she took them. Tenzo looked away, blushing himself. “I’ve missed you, Tenzo.” Ani tells him. Tenzo nodded. “I’m sorry, Lord Danzo hurt you.” He responded. Ani rolled her eyes and flipped her hair back. Tenzo’s body began to respond. Why did she make him feel this way? Before he could think of what to do next, Ani kissed him on the lips. All Tenzo could do then was follow his bodies lead. He slid one hand up her dress and wrapped his arm around her with the other. Ani removed his shirt again and ran her hands over his clearly defined chest. Tenzo lay her down and continued to pleasure her with his hands. Ani handled his growing manhood deftly. Almost as though despite their inexperience, they somehow knew what to do. Before too long they had fallen asleep enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. When they woke, it was nearly dinner time. They walked into the cafeteria making sure that they didn’t hold hands. Ani went and sat with her squad mates at a table. Uri watched her carefully. Ani blushed when she noticed. Uri shook her head. “Ani, you are such a glutton for punishment. I went to the river to talk to you. And found you busy.” Ani blushed again. “You realize Lord Danzo knows, don’t you?” He has spies everywhere that report back to him.” The color drained from Ani’s face. “Tenzo.” Ani whispered. Uri shook her head.

Tenzo had begun to prepare for bed. It had been almost a week since his encounter with Ani. He blushed at the thought of how bold they were doing that. But he had no regrets. He had developed some strong feelings for her. Ani had grown into a beautiful young woman. And she had certainly noticed that he had grown as well. “Tenzo,” A voice said behind him. Tenzo went to turn around when he felt someone strike him. He hit the floor. When he opened his eyes, he found Ani next to him. They had both been bound by their hands and were hanging above the ground. He saw Danzo then. Standing in front of them. When Ani opened her eyes, she looked at Tenzo before she saw Danzo. Danzo had a smirk on his face. “I wondered how far the two of you would go to break the rules.” Both Tenzo and Ani looked at him confused. There had never been any rules regarding relationships spoken about before. As if in answer, Danzo smiled. “It’s an upspoken rule. Of course, the fact that you two willingly broke it allows me to use you as an example for the rest of your squad mates.” Ani and Tenzo looked around. The room was filled with all the other students. They were all on their knees watching as they had been ordered to by Danzo. When Danzo motioned to one of his men, the man stepped forward holding a whip. Ani flinched from memory. Tenzo watched her. “Ladies and gentlemen, he begins, here is the rule now a spoken rule. Remember it. There is no fraternizing with each other, under any circumstances. I’ve watched these two since I brought them from the orphanage. They had already developed a bond with each other. Even at six years old. I had hoped that after nearly a decade and after intense reeducation, this problem would be avoided. But, even I cannot defeat hormones it seems. So a more hands on approach is necessary. This punishment is being used as a deterrent and a lesson for the rest of you.” With that he motioned to the man. He struck Ani first. Uri closed her eyes. Danzo seemed to have known. “I’m ordering you to watch. All of you. Unless you want lashes of your own.” Uri opened her eyes. Tenzo was struck next. Lin flinched. When the man struck Tenzo again, it was Ani that spoke up, gritting through the pain. “Leave him alone!” Tenzo watched her. “No,” He whispered. Danzo walked up to her, and grabbed her chin forcing her to look at him. “You are to take your punishment without a word. Or risk more.” Ani yanked out of his grip. Danzo struck her across the face, splitting her lip. The other members of the group gasped. This was a side of Danzo they had never seen before. It had the desired effect. He pointed to Ani. “Give them each fifty lashes, in ten lash increments.” The man nodded. Ani was struck ten times, then Tenzo. This continued.

A lone Anbu watched what Lord Danzo was doing. Kakashi Hatake was there on the Hokage’s orders. There had been rumors that Lord Danzo was using barbaric methods to train the members of his organization. Lord Third had sent him to verify whether the rumors were true. Kakashi watched as his best friend was struck repeatedly. A fellow Anbu appeared behind him. “Captain.” “Alert the Hokage.” “Yes, sir.” The other Anbu disappeared.

By the thirtieth lash, Ani was finding it hard to stay conscious, least of all breathe. She turned to look at Tenzo. He gave her a smile. She tried to smile back. The lashes seemed so much harder after that. Forty five lashes. Then suddenly nothing. When she looked up, she saw Lord Third standing there. His own Anbu holding Danzo’s men at bay. “Danzo,” She heard him yell. “This is unacceptable.” Tenzo looked beside him and saw Kakashi watching him. He sighed. “Release them.” Danzo growled. Lord Third glared at him. “Now.” Danzo motioned to his men. When Ani and Tenzo were released, Kakashi held Tenzo up while a female Anbu grabbed Ani. They were gone within seconds. Lord Third faced the students. “I give you a choice, you can either remain with Lord Danzo and the Foundation, or join the Anbu and work for me.” To his surprise, only ten of the members gathered there got to their feet and stood behind the Anbu, taking the Hokage up on his offer. “Danzo, you will be sanctioned for this behavior. You are ordered to go before myself and the elders and explain the meaning of this .” Danzo bowed with a noticeable growl. The Hokage left then, his Anbu close behind.
