EIRA’S POV I watched Kellen’s chest rise and fall, his breathing uneven as he kept his wide eyes fixed on me. There was something that crossed his features. Did my words hurt him? A pang rang through my chest, but I ignored the feeling. Why did I have to feel bad when they were the ones that had continuously hurt me? “Go back to your girlfriends and leave us alone,” I said quietly, body trembling. Kellen’s gaze hung on me for a long second before he turned back and began to stalk away from the crowd. Lucien's eyes trailed from Aldric to me, his face filled with so much hurt it made my chest ache. Why were they acting like I had punched them in the gut?
