LUCIEN’S POV
The word expulsion echoed in my head so hard, I started to feel dizzy.
Kellen was still beside me. The word was enough to send us spiraling.
“But,” the principal continued. “You are both not like regular students. You are not normal cases.”
Kellen and I shared a look, before I turned my gaze back to the principal.
“Due to your royal status, I cannot really issue an expulsion. It will complicate things,” he said flatly. “Expelling you will cause some political difficulties. We may even face some public scrutiny and questions we have no interest in answering.”
I scoffed underneath my breath. This wasn’t just about our royal status, this was basically damage control.
