LUCIEN’S POV When I stirred awake, something within me felt... different. For a few minutes, I lay still on the bed, listening to the gentle breathing beside me. I took a deep breath, and exhaled. My chest rose and fell easily. There was no dull ache or usually tightness I would feel whenever I woke up. There was no exhaustion that would cling to my entire being every morning. I felt alive, for the first time in years. My wolf was also strengthened. He stretched, powerful and alert like never before. Inhaled slowly, then exhaled, almost chuckling at the intensity of the strength I felt. My senses felt sharp...too sharp.
