Lucien's POV
Of course, it was “her.”
That girl. That scent. That corruptible heat. That sexy body…. I couldn't get her off my mind no matter how hard I tried.
Fine… I'm bisexual but I have not been attracted to any woman before in my entire life but my lover, Kellan and I, f**k she-wolves some times—just anytime we want to explore. The both of us were enough for each other but it's saddening that our relationship was forbidden by werewolf standards.
But f**k those laws. Who cared about them anyways? This sin with Kellan is just too good that it felt right.
Kellan has always been there… Since childhood, our parents introduced us to each other—since my mother asked him to watch over me when I was admitted to the Werewolf boarding school because I was weaker.
As a prince with the strongest Alpha bloodline ever, I couldn't do most things that other princes do; martial arts, shifting into my wolf form, or even having any werewolf abilities like heightened senses.
When I was a foetus, I was cursed by the last witch bloodline of the Umbra Claw Pack which my father burned down, hence the reason for my weakness. It was rumoured that I would have a shortened life span too.
But all thanks to Kellan, no one knew that the most admired prince in the kingdom was weaker than an Omega. He would always cover me up during strenuous tasks in school.
At first, the love between us was just brotherly but three years ago, we realized that we wanted more. No woman would want me anyways, so we started dating and it has been bliss. No one… no one loves me more than Kellan Whitmore.
But then… There was something about this girl from last night—the one who caught us while we were making out. If I had left Kellan alone, he would have hurt her—he was overly protective of us—but I had to persuade him to let her be. He didn't understand why I took that risk… why I wanted her off the hook even though she might actually expose us.
No one knows but I saw something inside her blue eyes. When she pleaded to be let go and promised not to tell on us—I saw the truth in them and instantly my heart aligned with her words; she wouldn't expose us.
And again, I perceived her scent. For the first time ever, I truly smelled someone's scent! It was captivating and seductive; it made me feel alive in a way I couldn't understand nor explain.
When I told Kellan about it, he thought I was simply mistaken but I knew I wasn't. Unfortunately, she ran off before I could confirm again.
Then I got curious. Who exactly was this woman? The one who set my world alive at first sight.
So we investigated. Kieran, our private investigator has a way of finding out even the gravest of secrets…. and here she is, standing before us, her scent was thick in the air; I wasn't mistaken after all and there was something else—the scent of her arousal.
And she wasn't alone. She was with my sister's new mate—the one my father had sent me to the kingdom to keep an eye on because rumours say that he doesn't really love Aria and had proposed to her because he wanted to become the king of his pack.
Father was so protective of his children so he asked me to come and see if he was good enough for Aria and also see if he was fit enough to be king since father is also the werewolf chairman.
My gaze shifted between the both of them and I can tell that they are making out… but he dared lie and said he is tutoring her; I guess he is tutoring her in fuckology.
Kellan lips lifted in a taunting smile. “Really.” He started walking around the room, his hands shoved deep in his pockets. Thick tension blanketed the room. “A tutorial student?” It was crystal clear he doesn't believe Ares’ bullshit.
“Yes, my prince,” Ares lied with a straight face.
I answered the call that we've seen her and also ordered him to keep investigating; I want to know everything about her.
Eira stared at me intensely like she knew I was talking about her and gosh.. at that moment, it felt like her eyes didn't just stare at me—they stared deep into my soul and it seemed like she could see it all—my pains, my fears and even the curse that haunted me.
I forced my gaze away from her and concentrated on Ares. I let out a bitter chuckle. “And you truly expect us to believe that bullshit,” I said calmly even though I was burning with rage inside me. I glanced around the room and there was no sight of any teaching materials. “Did you think we are that dumb Ares?”
“I will never think of you as dumb, my prince. I swear by the Moon Goddess that I'm just tutoring her!” Then he faced Eira. “Don’t just keep quiet, Eira. Let them know I was just tutoring you.”
She hesitated for a moment before bowing. “Yes, my prince, he was just tutoring me.” Her voice though… smooth like I remembered and for a moment I wanted to believe her again but her eyes were different from how it was yesterday; she was lying.
Kellan scoffed. “Let's just believe he was tutoring her, Lucien.” His voice was dismissive. “So.. Can you tell your “tutorial student” to excuse us?”
“Go on, Eira. Don't forget to send me the answers to the problems later.”
That asshole! Still keeping up with the act.
“Yes, prince Ares.” Then she bowed to us. “Enjoy your stay at the BlueMoon Pack.” She walked out of the room.
Once the door slammed shut behind her, Kellan stood behind Ares, his claws digging into either side of his shoulders. Ares trembled slightly before letting out a dry chuckle.
“We won't talk about your tutorial student again,” he whispered against his neck. “But we want you to know that we are keeping an eye on you and once we suspect any foul play…” his lips curled into a dangerous smirk. “You know what that means right?”
Ares' forehead was a bit clammy even in the full air-conditioned room. He swallowed hard. “Ye—s. There—is—no foul play whatsoever.”
My lips curled into a small smile. Kellan can be so intimidating and short-tempered and I think those were the charms that attracted me to him.
“Good!” Kellan patted his back fondly like they've been friends since forever. The way he switched character effortlessly gets me everytime—one minute he is angry at you and the next minute, he is caring about you. “Our sister should be the only woman on your mind.”
“Okay,” I said cheerfully, hoping that it would ease the tension. “We are here to support you Ares and of course, for ice hockey too. I heard that your team would be participating in the nationals. We want to join.”
“Of course.” He chuckled. “I can make you Captains if you want.”
“No captains.”
I had to reject because I'm concerned on how the current captain would feel and besides, I'm not playing hockey because of ranks—I’m playing because it was the only thing I knew how to do—the only thing that made me feel strong even if it was just for the moment. And of course, Kellan wasn't particularly interested but I begged him to join and now, he enjoyed it too.
“We are okay with just being team members,” Kellan completed.
“Alright… let me show you around the College and most importantly, the rink.” Ares gestured towards the door. “Let's go, my princes.”
We nodded and the three of us walked out of the room.
