Chapter Six

1330 Words
Eira's POV The moment I stepped out of Ares’ office, I let out a long exasperated sigh in a bid to calm my nerves. Oh.. gosh, the tension in the room is so gut-wrenching, I almost couldn't breathe. Kellen is so intimidating—his eyes were so inhumane and I could tell he wasn't done with me yet. While Lucien looked at me.. like he doesn't just own my body, but also owns my fate. Why the f**k was my body reacting to him like that? My p***y clenched tightly and my breasts felt heavier. I thought I wouldn't have to see them anymore… and here they are, right under my nose. But I guess, I should be grateful to them anyways—they saved me from Ares back there. Still, I couldn't push out the thoughts that Kellen might really try to hurt me just to get me to keep quiet about their illicit relationship. After I had managed to stabilise myself, I walked out of the empty hallway…. towards the locker room to change away from my hockey uniform. Just then I slid forward and I stumbled on my butt sharply, pain coursing through me. “Ha..” I groaned and discovered that banana peels caused the fall. “Hahaha.” Mocking laughter erupted. I snapped my head behind me to see Aria and the Darkmoor twins—Solara and Selena—these ladies who had been my worst nightmare. They are my personal nemesis and back then, Aria would always defend me from them and she even taught me to defend myself from them but now, she has joined them. My chest split open at how our friendship had gone down the drain. Their lips curled into a mocking smirk and they had unpeeled bananas in their hands—and I needed no soothsayer to tell me they placed the banana peel for me to step on. “Oops,” Aria said in fake remorse, swaying the banana in her hand. “I'm so sorry, Eira. I actually thought that was trash.” Gritting my teeth, I pushed myself up after grabbing one of the peels and dusted my butt. “Trash?” I let out a dry chuckle. I threw the banana peel in my hand and it plastered on her face. “Oops…” my hand flew to my mouth. “I'm sorry, Aria. I thought that was trash too.” Laughter erupted from the few students in the hallway. Aria gritted her teeth, her chest rose and fell as she removed the peel from her face. “You b***h!” she growled, closing the distance between us. “You really want to die, huh?” She clenched her fists. “Oh..” I shrieked with fake fear. “I'm so scared. Aria and her minions are going to kill me.” My nose flared up. “You are the f*****g b***h, Aria. It is so low of you as a princess to be behaving like this. You seduced my dumbass mate and now.. you're bullying me.” “Bullying you?” She repeated, sizing me up. “I'm not bullying you, Eira. I came to punish you—you f*****g ruined my engagement yesterday! You couldn't accept that Ares chose me over you, or proposed to me. You choose to ruin us.” A bitter laugh bubbled in my throat. How foolish of her to think Ares ever loved her. Only if she knows that he said her body doesn't impress him like mine does.. or the fact that he has plans of making me his mistress after he becomes king. Or should I just speak out and ruin everything… but then, she won't even believe me. “Oh I ruined you guys,” I sneered, throwing my hair back. “Get used to it Aria… you ruined me too. Not only did you take my mate, you also kicked me out of the team. Why? Because of your insecurities that I play better than you and I might get to represent the team in the nationals.” She didn't say a word; she took a step closer and leaned closer. “How about I kick you out of BlueMoon College forever?” she whispered, her breath warm against my neck. “That way, you will be out of our lives forever.” My hands trembled with fear at her words. Of course, she is capable of doing it. Just a word from her and the Dean is dancing to her tune. Or she tries to frame for a crime like she did with ice hockey. While we were playing on the rink, she lied that I purposely hit her with the hockey stick. It wasn't supposed to be a big deal since we hit each other with the sticks every time but Ares interfered and I was kicked out. If Aria kicks me out of College, then my life is really over. I would have to go back to the country side to stay with my Aunty and probably become a Seer like her. No… that can't happen. But I won't cower in her presence. “Try it and I swear, I will really kill you Aria,” I spat through gritted teeth. “Oh… is that so?” She said. “Start packing up, Eira. I'm going to see the Dean right away and I will make sure you leave this College.” She turned away. I panicked. I can't let her leave. Before my brain could catch up, I grabbed a handful of her blonde hair to pull her back to me. “Don't try to kick me out, Aria!” I growled, losing my temper completely. “You b***h! I worked harder than anyone else to be here. This scholarship is my only hope of making something out of myself.” I was surprised when she was struggling against me… when she was powerful enough to just shove me away. “Please.. let me go, Eira,” she said softly. “Why are you hurting me?” “What. The. f**k. Are. You. Doing?” a voice thundered across the room. I snapped my head to the side and I saw them. The princes. They stood there like a storm about to break. But while Lucien remained calm… Kellen looked dangerous. His gray eyes turned dark and almost beastly. His fangs—the longest I have ever seen in my entire life. His claws, sharper and trembling with unrestrained rage that is threatening to consume everything in its path. My body grew weak from his deadly aura pressing down on me and I quickly released my grip around Aria's hair. I lowered my head, trying to stop the slamming of my chest against my rib cage. The princes approached us in slow, deliberate steps—every step was like a countdown to my execution. I thought of running off but no, I shouldn't. Enough of running away—it’s time I confront my fears. They stood just steps away from us and Aria quickly ran behind them. “Kellan, Lucien… she is hurting me.” She pouted, acting like she was the victim. She grabs the sleeve of Kellan's shirt. “She is so evil, Kel.” What? That must be what she wanted her brothers to think, hence the reason she acted weak earlier. She wanted them to think that she was the victim. “Are you okay?” Kellen asked, his voice softer than I'd ever heard. He patted her hair fondly. “Does it hurt?” Aria nodded and poured sadly. “Yes.” Kellan snapped his head at me, eyes blazing. “Who the f**k did you think you are?” He growled, his voice sending cold shivers down my spine. “You dare hurt our girl.” He was shocked at my audacity. “You are bullying the Grand princess of the Silvercrest Pack?”
