LUCIEN’S POV
Kellen and I strode through the hallway of the academy, a sea of students walking around us. I blinked, rubbing my eyes as exhaustion and a slight hangover settled in. I hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep last night, and my mind was racing with thoughts of the encounter I had with Elena. The both of us didn’t say a word to each other, but the silence wasn’t uncomfortable.
However, I broke the silence first.
“Can you believe that Elena came to my office last night?” I asked with a scoff as I kept my eyes forward.
Kellen flexed his jaw. “I can take a wild guess that she tried to seduce you?”
I snorted, huffing out a breath. “That is exactly what happened. She brought food and feigned concern while she wore a night gown that could barely be qualified as clothing.”
